BILL CLEMENT Color Analyst<br />
Clement also returns as a color commentator this season. He was the TV color analyst for the <strong>Flyers</strong><br />
from 1989-1992 and rejoined the club’s broadcast team in 2007. A member of both of the <strong>Flyers</strong>’<br />
Stanley Cup championship teams, Clement was also a two-time NHL all-star over his 11-year NHL<br />
career with the <strong>Flyers</strong>, the Washington Capitals and the Flames, both in Atlanta and Calgary.<br />
Clement was the lead color analyst for ESPN’s National Hockey Night broadcasts for 15 years. He<br />
has also been a studio host for NBC and VERSUS, and has worked as a broadcaster at five Olympic<br />
Games. His other broadcast credits include ABC and TNT in the US and CTV, CBC, Rogers Sportsnet<br />
and Sirius-XM Radio in Canada.<br />
In addition to his hockey broadcasting career, Clement is also a critically acclaimed speaker, actor<br />
and entrepreneur. He has worked on the ABC daytime drama All My Children and done more than<br />
300 television ads for clients such as Chevrolet, Bud Light and Deepwoods Off. He has also provided<br />
one of the commentator voices on the EA Sports NHL video games.<br />
Tim Saunders Play-By-Play Announcer<br />
Tim Saunders enters his 15th season as the play-by-play announcer for <strong>Flyers</strong> radio. He also served<br />
as the television play-by-play announcer for the <strong>Philadelphia</strong> Phantoms for eight seasons.<br />
Saunders joined the <strong>Flyers</strong> in 1997 after spending two seasons as the play-by-play broadcaster and<br />
the Director of Broadcasting for the Cleveland Lumberjacks of the International Hockey League. In<br />
that role, Saunders was responsible for all facets of the team’s radio and television involvement,<br />
including the simulcasts of the Lumberjacks’ 20-game television package on Fox Sports Pittsburgh<br />
and SportsChannel of Ohio.<br />
A native of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Saunders began his hockey career as the cable television voice<br />
of the Muskegon Fury of the Colonial Hockey League in 1992-93. He then spent two seasons as a<br />
broadcaster for the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League (1993-94 & 1994-95) before moving<br />
to Cleveland. Prior to his hockey work, Saunders was the sports director at WOOD Radio in Grand<br />
Rapids, Michigan for 10 years.<br />
Tim and his wife, Margie, have two children-daughter Katie and son Steven-and reside in Somerdale,<br />
New Jersey.<br />
Chris Therien Color Analyst<br />
Chris Therien enters his fifth season as the color analyst for <strong>Flyers</strong> radio. Prior to his current<br />
position, he served as an analyst on Comcast SportsNet’s Post-Game Live show, which follows<br />
<strong>Flyers</strong> games. In addition, Therien was a part-time member of SportsRadio 94 WIP’s Morning<br />
Show, as well as the Glen Macnow Show.<br />
Therien played 11 seasons for the <strong>Flyers</strong> during two different stints (1994-95 to 2003-04 & 2005-<br />
06), recording 29 goals and 130 assists for 159 points and adding 583 penalty minutes in 753<br />
regular season games. He also played 11 games for the Dallas Stars during the 2003-04 season.<br />
Therien’s 753 regular season games as a Flyer are the most for a <strong>Flyers</strong> defenseman and are<br />
fourth overall on the team’s All-Time List. He was a member of the Canadian Olympic Team that<br />
won the Silver Medal at the 1994 Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway. Prior to turning<br />
professional, he attended Providence College for three years before joining the Canadian<br />
National Team after his junior year at Providence. Therien was drafted by the <strong>Flyers</strong> in the third<br />
round (47th overall) of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft.<br />
In 2004, Therien and former Flyer John LeClair created LeClair Therien Lines, a shipping and logistics company, which is run and<br />
operated in the Delaware Valley. He is actively involved with the Trillium Gift of Life Foundation in Canada, which supports organ<br />
donation, and is involved with the ALS Hope Foundation and various other charity endeavors. Therien resides in Marlton, New<br />
Jersey, with his wife, Diana, and their four children-daughters Isabella, Ava and Alexa and son Christopher.<br />
