loss of or damage to the Works, plant and Materials;
loss of or damage to Equipment;
loss of or damage of property (except the works, plant, Materials and
Equipment) in connection with the Q6n1y3gt and
personal injury or death.
Policies and certificates for insurance shall be delivered by the Contraclor to
the Engineer for the Engineer's approval before the Start Date. Al1 such
insurance shall provide for cornpensatinn to be payable in the types and
proportions of currencies required to rectify the loss or damage incurred.
If the Contractor does not provide any of the policies and certificates required,
the Employer may effect the insurance which the Contractor should have
provided and recover the premiums the Employer has paid from payments
otherwise due to the contractor or, if no payment is due, the payment of the
premiums shall be a debt due.
Alterations to the terms of insurance shall not be made without the approval
of the Engineer.
Both parties shall comply with any conditions of the insurance policies.
Site Investigation Reports
The Contractor in preparing the Bid, shall rely on any site Investigation
Reports referred to in the Contract Data, supplemented by any information
available to the Bidder.
Queries about the Contract Data
The Engineer will clarify queries on the Contract Data.
Contractor to Construct the Works
The Contractor shall constmct and install the Works in accordance with the
Specification and Drawings.
The Tlorks to be Completed by the Intended Completion Date
The Contractor may commence execution of the Works on the Start Date and
shall carry out the Works in accordance with the programm. *t-itt.a Uy ttr.
contractor, as updated with the approval of the Engineer, and complete them
by the Intended Completion Date.
Approval by the Engineer
The Contractor shall submit Specification and Drawings showing the proposed
Temporary works to the Engineer, who is to approve them if they comply with
the specilication and Drawings.
The contractor shall be responsible for design of remporarSr works.
The Engineer's approval shall not alter the Contractor's responsibility for
design of the Temporar5r Works.
The Contractor shall obtain approval of third parties to the design of the
Temporary Works where required.
Drawings prepared by the Contractor for the execution of the temporar5z or
pefinanent Worts, are subject to prior approval by the Engineer before their
use.
