(b) When the ownership <strong>of</strong> a mine is transferred, the previous owner or his agent<br />
shall make over to the new owner or his agent, within a period <strong>of</strong> seven days <strong>of</strong> the<br />
transfer <strong>of</strong> ownership, all plans, sections, reports, registers and other records mainiained I<br />
pursuance <strong>of</strong> the Act and <strong>of</strong> the regulations, a orders made thereunder and all<br />
correspondence relating to the working <strong>of</strong> the mine relevant thereto; and when the<br />
requirements <strong>of</strong> this clause have been duly complied with, both previous and the new<br />
owners or their respective agents shall forthwith send the Chief Inspector and the<br />
Regional Inspector a detailed list <strong>of</strong> the plans, sections, repsorts, registers and other<br />
records that have been transferred.<br />
(2) When any new appointment is made <strong>of</strong> an agent, manager, assistant manager,<br />
underground manager, surveyor or an engineer, if any, or when the employment to<br />
any such person is terminated or any such person leaves the said employment, or<br />
when any change occurs in the address <strong>of</strong> any agent or manager, the owner, agent or<br />
manager shall, within seven days from the date <strong>of</strong> such appointment, termination,<br />
leaving or change, give to the Chief Inspector and the Regional Inspector a notice in<br />
Form I <strong>of</strong> First Schedule.<br />
1[“8A. Appointment <strong>of</strong> agent. – (1) The owner <strong>of</strong> a mine shall submit in writing to<br />
the Chief Inspector and the Regional Inspector, a statement showing name and<br />
designation <strong>of</strong> every person authorised to act an agent on behalf <strong>of</strong> the owner <strong>of</strong> a<br />
mine in respect <strong>of</strong> management, control, supervision or direction <strong>of</strong> the mine.<br />
(2) The statement shall also show the responsibilities <strong>of</strong> every such person and the<br />
matters in respect <strong>of</strong> which he is authorised to act on behalf <strong>of</strong> the owner <strong>of</strong> a<br />
mine.<br />
(3) The statement aforesaid shall be submitted within one month from the date <strong>of</strong><br />
coming into force <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Metalliferous</strong> <strong>Mines</strong> (Amendment) <strong>Regulations</strong>,<br />
1985, in the case <strong>of</strong> mines already opened for reopened as the case may be,<br />
and in other cases within one month from the ate <strong>of</strong> opening or reopening <strong>of</strong><br />
the mine.<br />
(4) Any change, addition or alteration in the names or other particulars <strong>of</strong> the<br />
aforesaid statement shall be reported in writing to the Chief Inspector and the<br />
Regional Inspector within seven days from the date <strong>of</strong> such change, addition<br />
or alteration]<br />
9. Notice <strong>of</strong> Accident – (1) (a) When there occurs in or about a mine –<br />
(i) an accident causing loss <strong>of</strong> life or serious bodily injury in connection with<br />
mining operations;<br />
(ii) an explosion or ignition;<br />
(iii) a spontaneous heating or outbreak <strong>of</strong> fire, or appearance <strong>of</strong> smoke or other<br />
indication <strong>of</strong> heating or outbreak <strong>of</strong> fire;<br />
(iv) an influx <strong>of</strong> noxious gases;
