Former schoolmaster Phil Phillips has
launched Wrexham’s first regular guided
heritage tour. A gentle 90-minute stroll
through centuries of history.
Susan Wilson saw a new side to her home
town: “Tracing the footsteps of how the town
has evolved was so interesting and hearing all
the stories was fantastic,” she said. “The tour
was a great idea just waiting to happen.”

Open Doors is the largest celebration of
architecture and heritage in Wales. You’d
expect historic Wrexham to join in – and you
wouldn’t be disappointed.
For one weekend in September we offer
access to properties that may normally be
closed to the public or charge admission. A
festival of guided tours, church visits, lectures
and heritage days. And all absolutely free.
