climate h The best time to visit Oman is from late September<br />

to early April. From May to August it is very hot and humid.<br />

January to March is cooler with occasional rainfall and<br />

average maximum temperature is 25°C. March to April and<br />

September to October are warm, mostly dry and pleasant,<br />

with maximum temperatures between 25°C and 35°C.<br />

January & February: Muscat Festival – Sample Oman’s culture and<br />

heritage at the Muscat Festival, which includes music and theatre<br />

performances, art exhibitions, sporting events and many more<br />

traditional activities, held at several venues around the city.<br />

July & August: Khareef Festival – To celebrate the monsoon that<br />

bathes the Dhofar region, every summer, Salalah organises the<br />

Khareef Festival, a six-week long event encompassing folk music,<br />

traditional games, art shows, poetry, children’s contests, seminars<br />

and sporting events. The main venue is the Lake Amphitheatre, while<br />

other performances and activities take place at locations nearby.<br />
