Traverse the stunning snow-capped Atlas Mountains
en route to the charming Kasbah’s of Ouarzazate in the
Sahara desert and complete your journey in the popular
harbour town of Agadir, famous for its pristine beaches.

DAY 1 h Upon arrival in Marrakech,
transfer to Le Meridien N’Fis (p93)
for two nights. After breakfast on
your second day, spend your first
half of the day amongst the
Menara Gardens, with its small
Saadian pavilion mirrored on the
still water, and the majestic Atlas
mountains and olive groves as a
charming backdrop. Gaze at the
stunning Koutoubia Minaret, walk
amongst the Saadian Tombs and
the Bahia Palace, before returning
to the hotel for lunch. In the
afternoon, you will have the
chance to discover Marrakech’s
famous souks and the Djemaa el-
Fna square, where you can buy a
selection of potions, leather goods
and the ubiquitous magic carpets,
whilst being entertained by
soothsayers, snake charmers and
acrobats. Dine at a choice of
restaurants, or enjoy an optional
Moroccan dinner and Folklore
show (p83).
DAY 3 h After breakfast, depart
from Marrakech and drive across
the rural landscapes of the Haouiz
plain, high into the Atlas
Mountains and across the Tizi
N’Tichka pass, where you can
enjoy scenic snow-capped
mountain views and a semi-desert
terrain topped by Kasbahs and
Adobe homes. Arrive in
Ouarzazate, fringed by the Sahara
Desert for a tour of the ancient
Kasbah complex of Ait Benhaddou
and Kasbah Taourirt. Continue
your journey to the Xaluca Dades,
where you will have dinner and an
overnight stay.
DAY 4 h Today, you will depart
from Dades after breakfast for
Erfoud, situated amongst the
impressive sand dunes of the
Sahara Desert. Stop en route at
Tineghir for its breathtaking
mountain setting, before a visit to
the gorges of Todra. Arrive in
Erfoud and enjoy a four wheel
drive to see the spectacular sunset
over the sand dunes. Continue to
the Xaluca Erfoud for dinner and
an overnight stay.
DAY 5 h Enjoy breakfast in Erfoud,
before spending the day soaking
up the palm groves and Kasbah
dwellings en route to Ouarzazate,
where you will dine and stay
overnight in the Berber.
DAY 6 h Travel to Agadir after
breakfast via the charming village
of Taliouine, with a stop to the
Saffron Centre. Continue to
Taroudant for a short visit, before
arriving in Agadir for dinner and a
two night stay at the Royal Atlas &
Spa (p101).
DAY 7 h After breakfast, enjoy a
guided tour of Agadir to include
the picturesque harbour and
souks with the rest of your day at
leisure. Return to the hotel for
dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 8 h This morning, savour a
delightful breakfast before
transferring to the airport, or
choosing to continue your
discovery of Morocco.
