Always be mindful of other crews. If you are in the right, it doesn’t mean everyone else is. This
goes for other motor crafts as well – keep an eye out!!
The middle of the river should be traffic free with crews traveling nearer the bank allowing room
for jetties and moored vessels.
The two trouble spots to be aware of are as follows:

If on the grey line returning to TSS,
you must cross the river. In doing so,
be aware the crew and other craft
on the black line heading away from
TSS at intersection marked 1.

f on the grey line heading east
wishing to continue around Chevron
Island at intersection 2, you must
give way to crews on the black line
heading away from TSS as well as
crews returning to TSS traveling on
the same part of the river as the
black line but in the opposite
direction. AND If you are traveling
north on the grey line traveling back
to TSS and you wish to turn left and
go via Surfers Paradise Rowing Club
(west side of island), you must give
way to traffic on the black line.
I
In short, stick to the right side of the river and be aware at
intersections and prepare to give way!
There are no excuses for being on the wrong side of the river.
