Import/Export Certificate Program
Do you want to know more about importing and exporting? Take this 6-course program and learn about all aspects of the field. A one-session basics seminar gives you an overview of
how to start an import/export business (this course is not part of the Certificate Program). You also have the option of taking individual courses without intending to earn a certificate.
Import/Export Documentation
Workshop
An easy-to-follow, hands-on approach will enable you to
practice and become competent in preparing different
import and export documentation. The fee includes
current forms which will be worked on in class. This is an
essential course for potential entrepreneurs, as well as
those who work or plan to work in the field.

Find out the steps involved in starting an import or export
operation from scratch. You will focus on learning basic
import and export requirements, legal considerations,
general business requirements and personal goals. This

Importing Made Easy
Explore in depth the range of activities involved in
importing products, the role of Customs, handling
paperwork, product selection and marketing, pricing,

Exporting Made Easy
Participate in an in-depth discussion of the range of
activities involved in exporting to other countries: the role
of the International Trade Administration,
documentation, restrictions, overseas marketing, export
pricing, and the availability of federal and state
assistance.

World Trade Today
Receive a comprehensive introduction to the exciting
world of international trade. You will learn about
globalization, world trade institutions and agreements
(such as WTO, NAFTA, CARICOM, Andean Community
and more.) and the nature of international business. New
York City's import/export facilities and the benefits and
challenges for the beginning importer and exporter will
also be covered.

The Terms of Trade
Learn about the activities involved in customhouse
brokerage and foreign freight forwarding. Discussion will
