Wastesavers
Millions of garments, clothes, shoes,
handbags and household textiles are
discarded every year.
By recycling your unwanted clothes,
shoes and textiles through a clothes
bank or charity shop you are reducing
landfill, donating to local charities and
supporting a huge recycled clothing
industry in countries where the vast
majority of the citizens cannot afford
new clothes.
Nathan's export hundreds of tonnes of
good quality clothing to Africa, Asia
and the developing world every week.
*Saving water saves energy because
power is used to process water to
drinking quality standard and even more
power is used to move it to where it’s
needed. For ways to save water visit
The trained work force of 150 sorters
make over 200 grades of textiles which
are exported world wide, generating
employment and supporting
entrepreneurship in the developing
world whilst providing affordable
good quality second-hand clothing.
Material not suitable for reuse is
recycled as furniture and mattress
filling and a range of industrial
wiping cloths.
Nathan’s offer a free fundraising
scheme to schools, churches
