Laser Welding Wire<br />
Welding with laser beams is<br />
becoming increasingly popular in<br />
dentistry. The compatibility of the<br />
laser welding material to the parent<br />
alloy is critical to the process. To<br />
support the technique of laser<br />
welding our ceramic and crown and<br />
bridge alloys, Ivoclar Vivadent, Inc.<br />
has developed five laser-welding<br />
wires available in two sizes. The<br />
.3mm wire is packaged in two<br />
forms: 8.5 inch strips, in quantities<br />
of five; and spools of 48 inch wire,<br />
on round coils. The .5mm wire is packaged in two forms: 8.5 inch<br />
strips, in quantities of three; and spools of 26 inch wire, on round<br />
coils.<br />
These wires are compatible with ceramic and crown and bridge<br />
alloys. Please consult the alloy property chart for the recommended<br />
