On Friday 8 June, <strong>Mainfreight</strong> International was<br />
invited to attend the Mangere Central Primary<br />
School’s assembly to receive a number of<br />
birthday cards that the students had made for<br />
the 7th birthday of the Westney Road site.<br />
<strong>The</strong> students, who are recipients of the Duffy<br />
Books in Homes which <strong>Mainfreight</strong> sponsors,<br />
were delighted that their works of art were<br />
received personally and that the effort that was<br />
put into the cards was appreciated.<br />
Shane Douglas addressed the school assembly<br />
and gave them some background on the Books<br />
in Homes project, and the value that children<br />
need to place on reading and learning in<br />
general.<br />

Perishable Growth<br />
We believe we have strong growth opportunities<br />
with our airfreight Perishable offer. We are<br />
working closely between the Auckland and<br />
Christchurch branches to further develop our<br />
teams and growth.<br />
Hot Cross Bunnies<br />
This year all branches treated their valued<br />
clients with Easter bun packs, which consisted<br />
of hot cross buns and a <strong>Mainfreight</strong> tea towel.<br />
<strong>The</strong>y went down a treat! In Napier Amber<br />
Abernethy, Kelly Barnett and Tina Lord donned<br />
their bunny ears, little tails and <strong>Mainfreight</strong><br />
shirts to deliver the goodies to International and<br />
Transport clients.<br />
Move<br />
Monday 18 June saw the first day the Napier<br />
team worked out of the refurbished <strong>Mainfreight</strong><br />
offices. <strong>The</strong> move was successful and it is<br />
great to walk into a lovely looking building! We<br />
are all very excited to be working in closely with<br />
the team at <strong>Mainfreight</strong> Transport.<br />
