University of Wisconsin-Stout 2012-13 Fact Book ‣ Developed Overload Tracking system to track overload payments and limits for faculty and staff. ‣ Developed data warehouse transfer credit tables to supply additional data for student records reporting. ‣ Developed integration to Data180 for STEM college for assessment, accreditation and accomplishments. ‣ Developed integration for the campus card Blackboard system upgrade. ‣ Developed integration for MapWorks to be used to support new freshmen student retention. ‣ Developed transfer credit enhancement within AccessStout. ‣ Developed custom page in AccessStout with ImageNow integration and HR forms. ‣ Support over 400 campus staff using Interactive Reporting (Hyperion) for gathering data from campus data warehouse and other UW-System repositories. ‣ Support over 100 campus staff technical needs using PaperThin’s CommonSpot content management system. e-Stout Program ‣ Conducted or facilitated over 1,300 laptop deployments. ‣ Coordinated and assisted with activities supporting the e-Stout program including Study Abroad procedure and policies, student communication, parent communication, campus communication, Laptop Transfer program, Teaching and Learning Center activities. ‣ Provided loaner laptop computers to STEPS, Pre-College, freshmen orientation and other summer programs in support of recruitment and diversity priorities. ‣ Conducted over 840 loans of laptops to students to facilitate repairs. ‣ Facilitated the transfer of ownership of over 1,200 laptops to eligible graduates via the Laptop Transfer Program. Learning Technology Services ‣ Over 4,300 credit sections of courses and over 400 non-credit courses and workshops utilizing Learn@UW-Stout. ‣ Produced several instructional videos supporting curriculum, grants and projects involving over 150 students and over 40 faculty/staff. ‣ Implemented the College Consultant program to meet college specific needs related to instructional technology, classroom support and provide just-in-time consultation and professional development. ‣ Provided over 17 instructional technology professional development workshops serving over 250 instructors in addition to the College Consultant Program. ‣ Printed over 320 research and informational posters for instructors, students and departments. ‣ Supported e-Text Pilot initiative. University of Wisconsin-Stout 2012-13 Fact Book ‣ Supported UW System Learning Management System Pilot. ‣ Initiated the Emerging Instructional Technology Committee. ‣ Hosted UW System Northwest Regional Technology Showcase. Nakatani Teaching and Learning Center ‣ Coordinated professional development programs including: 3 Sharing Communities, 2 Communities of Practice, Advancing SoTL, First Year Faculty, Infusing Diversity Curriculum, Universal Design curriculum projects. ‣ Received the 2012 Ann Lydecker Educational Diversity Award for the Infusing Diversity project. ‣ Provided 7 teaching and learning workshops and institutes serving over 290 instructors. ‣ Provided New Instructor professional development for 46 instructors. ‣ Provided numerous individual consultations related to teaching and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Telecommunications and Networking ‣ Keyserved 24 software applications to students. ‣ Approximately 21,000 service points provided by Ask 5000 Help Desk. ‣ Supports campus wireless network with near 100% coverage in classrooms, outdoors and student resident halls. ‣ Provide email service to students, staff, applicants, alumni and emeriti. ‣ Expanded ImageNow application, including training and department consultations, to 25 departments/units with 25 departmental workflows and automated processes. ‣ Maintains Barracuda SPAM appliance for improved filtering – on average blocking 1,000,000 incoming emails per day. ‣ Administer data services on 140 managed nodes with 23,000+ devices. ‣ Coordinated Voice Services for campus including local/long distance, voice mail and wiring. ‣ Administer and support over 140 servers, 90% being virtual servers. ‣ Support over 45 applications in campus laboratories. ‣ Support 18 departmental computer labs. ‣ Manage 999 wireless access points. ‣ Provide support and service needs for e-Scholar Program including asset management, inspections, returns, deployment, loaners, image creation and management. ‣ Facilitate Mac and PC service and repair for campus.
