University of Wisconsin-Stout Support Services Highlights 2012-13 Fact Book ‣ UW-Stout has a large number of support services departments on campus. University of Wisconsin-Stout Support Services Learning and Information Technology 2012-13 Fact Book Learning and Information Technology (LIT) mission: LIT is UW-Stout’s steward of technology in support of education. We are committed to providing and maintaining secure, high-quality, reliable, and flexible solutions in alignment with UW-Stout’s mission and vision. Vision: Education and technology serving people. Units within LIT: Enterprise Information Systems (EIS), e-Stout Program, Learning Technology Services (LTS), Nakatani Teaching and Learning Center, Telecommunications and Networking (T and N) Enterprise Information Services ‣ Replacement of all servers for the Oracle/PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (AccessStout). Including upgrading operating systems to latest Windows releases and Oracle database upgrade. ‣ Deployed the ATT Campus Guide mobile application for students, staff and public. iPhone, Android and Blackberry platforms with access to AccessStout, D2L, directories, maps, events, sports, laundry availability, Stout bus route, admissions, news, myUW, Shoppes@Stout, tuition payment, library, etc. ‣ Developed integration with Hobson’s CRM application to manage admission prospects and applicants. ‣ Redeployed EMS events, calendaring and classroom scheduling application to cover all campus needs including new infrastructure. Decommissioned AdAstra classroom scheduling as a result. ‣ Decommissioned the Datatel Colleague student information system infrastructure. A copy of the database is stored for historical purposes.
