University of Wisconsin-Stout Professorships and Chairs Reinhold and Borghild Eng Dahlgren Professorships Established through an endowment that honors the Dahlgrens, who graduated in 1916 and 1918 respectively from the Stout Institute. The professorships assist faculty with scholarship activities, public service and instruction. Faculty & Staff Data Awards 2012-13 Fact Book Maybelle Ranney Price Professorship Established in honor and memory of Maybelle Ranney Price who died in 1993. Price received a bachelor’s degree in 1945 and a master’s degree in 1957 from Stout. The professorship honors and assists faculty with scholarly initiatives. 2013 – Kristina Gorbatenko-Roth, CEHHS 2012 – Tamara Brantmeier, CAHSS 2011 – Michael Levy, CAHSS 2010 – Stephen Nold, CSTEM 2009 – Carol Seaborn, CEHHS Lenore Landry Apparel Design/Manufacturing Professorship Established by Landry, a 1945 graduate in home economics education, to retain and attract competent apparel design faculty to UW-Stout. Landry, a UW System specialist, was respected nationally for her expertise in textiles and clothing. This is a three-year appointment. 2012-2015 -Kathy Kujawa, CSTEM -Gindy Neidermyer, CSTEM -Jongeun Rhee, CSTEM 2009-2012 -Gindy Neidermyer, CSTEM -Kathy Kujawa, CSTEM 2006-2009 -Gindy Neidermyer, CHD 2013 – Suejung Han, CEHHS 2012 – NA 2011 – Jeanne Foley, CSTEM 2010 – Dale Hawley, CEHHS 2009 – Susan Hunt, CAHSS G.A. Taft Manufacturing Engineering Professorship Established in 1993 through a gift from Dr. Robert E. Quinn and Esther Taft Quinn in honor of Esther’s father. G.A. Taft was associated with the Dunn County News before co-founding the Deluxe Check Printing Company in the Twin Cities. Taft’s wife, Gertrude, attended what was then the Stout Institute in the early 1900s. University of Wisconsin-Stout Frank and Ann Cervenka People Process Chair Endowed through a gift from Bob and Debbie Cervenka of Phillips Plastics, the chair will help assure the UW-Stout graduates, and business and industry leaders will be able to effectively apply skills and competencies that will enhance the “people process culture” in manufacturing businesses. 2012-2015 -Jeanette Kersten, COM 2009-2012 -Katherine Lui, COM Women of Color Award This award is presented to a woman of color who has made outstanding contributions in the area of women’s studies scholarship and activism, especially as they have served to improve the status and climate for women on campus and in the community. Candidates need to have demonstrated their ability to rally diverse forces together to advance the agenda of women and have created positive changes at UW-Stout. 2013 – Maleka Hashmi, CSTEM 2012 – Houa Lee, Undergraduate Student 2011 – Lopa Basu, CAHSS 2010 – Diona Johnson, Undergraduate Student 2009 – Lelah Lugo, LLC 2012-13 Fact Book Teaching Awards UW-Stout awards the following teaching awards: Outstanding Teacher Award, Jax Teaching Excellence Award, Chamber Honoree Outstanding Educator, Outstanding Graduate Faculty, Outstanding Service Award, Academic Staff Award for Excellence, Leadership Development Award for Women, Multicultural Student Services Outstanding Faculty Award, Wisconsin Teaching Fellows.
