Highlights (<strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong>):<br />

‣ The 6-year graduation rate for the 2006 freshmen cohort was 58.0%. This figure represents a decrease from last year.<br />

‣ A total <strong>of</strong> 1,850 degrees were conferred; 1,543 <strong>of</strong> them were undergraduate degrees.<br />

‣ The five largest undergraduate majors by degrees granted were as follows: business administration; art; hotel, restaurant & tourism<br />

management; management; and construction.<br />

‣ The five largest graduate majors by degrees granted were as follows: education; vocational rehabilitation; food & nutritional sciences;<br />

information & communication technology; and operations & supply management.<br />

‣ The number <strong>of</strong> credits attempted to degree was 139 in <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong>.<br />

‣ Graduates <strong>of</strong> the following programs reported the highest salary <strong>of</strong> all undergraduate programs: career, technical education & training;<br />

information & communication technologies; packaging; plastics engineering; and manufacturing engineering; each <strong>of</strong> these programs<br />

reported average salaries at or above $52,000/year.<br />

‣ 97.3% <strong>of</strong> graduates in <strong>2011</strong>-<strong>12</strong> reported being employed and 79.3% reported being employed in their field. Fully 92% <strong>of</strong> graduates<br />

were contacted for this survey.<br />

‣ UW-<strong>Stout</strong> has alumni in each <strong>of</strong> the 50 states. The states that have the greatest number <strong>of</strong> alumni are: <strong>Wisconsin</strong>, Minnesota, Illinois<br />

and California, respectively.<br />
