University of Wisconsin-Stout 2012-13 Fact Book Student Data Highlights ‣ Total enrollment in fall 2012 was 9,247 students. ‣ The undergraduate programs with the largest enrollments were: business administration; hotel, restaurant & tourism management; management; studio art; and engineering technology, respectively. The graduate programs with the largest enrollments were: education, vocational rehabilitation, and mental health counseling, respectively. ‣ In fall 2012, there were 137 new students starting in the Honors Program. These 137 students join the 207 students who were active in the Honors Program. In 2012-13, 34 students graduated from the Honors Program. ‣ The 6-year graduation rate for the 2006 freshmen cohort was 58.0%. This figure represents a decrease from last year. ‣ 97.3% of graduates in 2011-12 reported being employed and 79.3% reported being employed in their field. University of Wisconsin-Stout 2012-13 Fact Book Student Data New Freshmen Profile Highlights (Fall 2012): ‣ 3,388 new freshmen applied to UW-Stout, 2,419 were admitted and 1,473 enrolled for a 71% acceptance rate and a 61% enrollment rate for admitted applicants. ‣ The average high school GPA for new freshmen was 3.1 and the average high school rank percentile was 61%. ‣ The average age of the new freshmen was 18, with a range from 17-39 years. ‣ 99% of new freshmen were full-time, 62% were Wisconsin residents, 48% were female, 2.8% were Asian American, 0.8% were African American, 0.4% were American Indian, 0.8% were Hispanic, and 2.8% were two or more races. ‣ 70% of freshmen students who began in 2011 were retained in 2012.
