processes graduates, provides enrollment verifications, and assigns classroom space. Registration and Records also ensures academic<br />

eligibility for our student athletes and provides benefit services to our student veterans and active duty military personnel.<br />

During the 20<strong>12</strong>-13 academic year, Registration and Records received two “Models <strong>of</strong> Efficiency” awards from <strong>University</strong> Business<br />

magazine citing the advancements in our transcript ordering and processing service as well as our expedited graduation and diploma<br />

printing processes.<br />

In concert with goals <strong>of</strong> Enrollment Services, Registration and Records strives to maintain integrity <strong>of</strong> all core functions, collaborate and<br />

engage with the campus community to effectively and efficiently meet the needs that lend support to the mission <strong>of</strong> the institution.<br />

Registration and Records also strives for creativity, innovation, and enhancement <strong>of</strong> services to meet an ever changing marketplace.<br />

Financial Aid<br />

The Financial Aid Office provides financial resources and information to students pursuing post-secondary education at UW-<strong>Stout</strong>. It is<br />

located on the second floor <strong>of</strong> Bowman Hall (the “Clock Tower Building”), in room 210. The Financial Aid Office helps students and<br />

their parents navigate through the stressful and <strong>of</strong>ten confusing journey <strong>of</strong> paying for college: from filing the FAFSA (Free Application<br />

for Federal Student Aid), to state and federal funding information, scholarship information, and Student Employment. The Financial Aid<br />

Office strives to be the premier provider for financial aid services with a customer-centered approach, and continuously seeks to improve<br />

the quality, efficiency, and timeliness <strong>of</strong> the financial aid process.<br />

During 20<strong>12</strong>-13, the Financial Aid Office processed 9,876 Financial Aid applications and updates, and awarded 7,167 students.<br />

Customer service continues to be the primary focus and the <strong>2011</strong> ACT Student Opinion Survey summary stated that <strong>Stout</strong> is statistically<br />

higher than two <strong>of</strong> the three comparison groups in seven areas. Of the seven, two areas are operated under the Financial Aid Office and<br />

they are: Student Employment services (1 st ) and Financial Aid (4 th ).<br />
