University of Wisconsin-Stout Support Services Enrollment Services 2012-13 Fact Book Enrollment Services consists of three offices; admissions, registration and records and financial aid. The UW-Stout Enrollment Services Mission Statement is to be the premier enrollment services team recruiting, admitting, enrolling, and financially assisting students by: • Utilizing best practices; • Using data and feedback to drive decisions; • Providing quality, efficient and timely service; • Capitalizing on cutting-edge technology; • Providing a welcome, inviting and inclusive environment; • Fostering collaborative partnerships/relationships. Admissions The Admissions Office serves as the face of the university for prospective students and families. It is located in 212 Millennium Hall, directly south of the clock tower (Bowman Hall). The office provides campus tours, admissions counseling, transfer counseling, serves as a liaison between prospective students and faculty, and provides general information about the university. In addition the office works with International students for both undergraduate admissions and for our English as a Second Language Institute. The office also houses the WI Covenant Coordinator position and works with the Youth Options students in the state. In addition the office hosted 37 group visits during the year sharing our wonderful campus with a myriad of prospective students. During 2011-12 the Admissions Office saw over 7,500 visitors, read 4,754 applications and admitted 3,358 students (freshmen, transfer, reentry and special applicants) and hosted 45 group visits to campus. Registration and Records Registration and Records provides services related to the creation and maintenance of academic records supporting the teaching and learning mission of the University of Wisconsin-Stout. The office oversees student enrollment and registration, coordinates course scheduling and grade submission, and maintains academic transcripts as well as degree audits.
