<strong>University</strong> Housing<br />
‣ We operate 9 campus residence halls and house approximately 3,000 undergraduate students in double rooms, single rooms, triple<br />
rooms, 3-person suites, and 4-person suites.<br />
‣ Annual budget is approximately $11 million.<br />
‣ Housing <strong>of</strong>fers the following living options: First Year Experience (includes 8 learning communities), quiet study floors, alcoholfree<br />
floors, wellness floors, <strong>12</strong> month hall, upper-class halls (called The Next Experience).<br />
‣ We employ 19 permanent staff and approximately 225 student staff members (Resident Advisors, Desk Services Managers,<br />
Academic Resource Coordinators, Desk Staff, Conference Assistants, Security Assistants, Graphic Designers, Qube staff, etc.).<br />
‣ 96% <strong>of</strong> new freshmen live in the residence halls.<br />
‣ All residence halls are open continuously from September to the middle <strong>of</strong> May; one hall is also open all summer.<br />
‣ Results from the EBI national benchmarking student satisfaction survey shows <strong>Stout</strong> scoring higher than the national average in 18<br />
<strong>of</strong> 19 categories. On a 7 point scale, <strong>Stout</strong> came in at 5.45 (national average 5.31) for Overall Resident Satisfaction; 5.46 (national<br />
average 5.32) on Overall Learning Experience; and 5.26 (national average 5.05) on Overall Program Effectiveness.<br />
<strong>University</strong> Recreation<br />
‣ 6,000 sq. ft. Health & Fitness Center with free weights, cardio and selectorized machines, personal training and group fitness<br />
classes. Over 3,200 members.<br />
‣ 4,000 sq. ft. North Point Fitness Center with 24/7 card access and state <strong>of</strong> the art fitness technology.<br />
‣ <strong>Stout</strong> Adventures Challenge Course <strong>of</strong>fers two 50 foot climbing towers, a 30 foot pamper pole and 11 low initiatives.<br />
‣ Two 30 foot indoor climbing walls utilized for recreational climbing, educational clinics and special events.<br />
‣ More than 250 students participate in <strong>Stout</strong> Adventures trips and clinics each year.<br />
‣ Over 3,000 students participate in Intramural Sports programs.<br />
‣ Over 600 students participate as members <strong>of</strong> 25 sports clubs ranging from recreational/instructional to nationally competitive.<br />
