<strong>University</strong> Student Centers<br />

‣ <strong>University</strong> Student Centers manages two campus buildings:<br />

o Memorial Student Center (94,217 sq. ft.) and Merle Price Commons (74,132 sq. ft.)<br />

‣ In 20<strong>12</strong>-13, the Memorial Student Center and Price Commons hosted 10,047 meeting and event reservations totaling 24,042 event<br />

hours with 231,740 attendees.<br />

‣ <strong>University</strong> Tickets sold <strong>12</strong>,592 total tickets (via web, service center and at the event) for a total <strong>of</strong> $63,745.<br />

‣ The Involvement Center serves the needs <strong>of</strong> 149 recognized student organizations and their leaders.<br />

‣ The Involvement Center uses OrgSync as a comprehensive student organization management system, which has 15,280 users, 149<br />

student organization portals, and <strong>12</strong> department portals.<br />

‣ The Involvement Center processed 169 event contracts, totaling $<strong>12</strong>9,854 for student organizations and departments.<br />

‣ <strong>12</strong>,289 students, staff and guests attend 65 entertainment/cultural events sponsored by Blue Devil Productions.<br />

‣ Ally Initiatives for Civil Rights and Civic Responsibility are events that engage participants in dialogue about gender, age, ability,<br />

sexual orientation, ethnicity, veteran status, socio-economic status, sustainability and the environment. In 20<strong>12</strong>-13, over 1,100<br />

people attended or participated in Ally Initiatives events (films, speakers, volunteer activities, dialogue projects, speak-out events).<br />

‣ Ally Initiatives also hosts two AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) members through <strong>Wisconsin</strong> Campus<br />

Compact. VISTA members engage students, faculty and the community to address local poverty issues through civic engagement<br />

collaborations focused on regional food security projects and technology training for low-income residents and the agency staff who<br />

serve them.<br />

‣ 23 local agencies have established portals in the OrgSync VOLUNTEER HERE! on-line system. They engaged the campus and<br />

community with the promotion <strong>of</strong> nearly 300 volunteer opportunities in 20<strong>12</strong>-13.<br />

<strong>University</strong> Dining Service<br />

‣ Dining operations are university owned and operated. Annual budget is approximately $8.9 million.<br />

‣ Multiple Services are provided out <strong>of</strong> three facilities on campus: Merle Price Commons, Memorial Student Center, and North Point<br />

Dining Center. Workforce: 38 full-time staff; 400 part-time and student staff.<br />

‣ Customer Service Overall Benchmarks –<br />

o EBI Ranking – Food Overall: Survey score 5.3 at <strong>Stout</strong> vs. Industry Average <strong>of</strong> 4.7<br />

o National Association <strong>of</strong> College & <strong>University</strong> Food Service: Annual Rating 3.9 at <strong>Stout</strong> vs. Industry Average 3.9<br />
