Champion
It’s been a busy year for Samantha
Faulkner, Montana’s 2012 Children’s Miracle Network
Hospitals Champion. After making appearances at
CMN/Shodair events like Miracle Treat Day, this
charming 10-year-old from Ulm joined other young
CMN ambassadors in Washington DC in September.
There, the Champions and their families toured the
White House and met President Obama. Next,
they flew to Orlando, Florida to attend the annual
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Celebration
at Walt Disney World.
“I’ll remember it forever,”
Samantha said of her
adventures. “I really liked
meeting everyone,
especially the Champions
from New Jersey and
Wisconsin and their families.
We’re hopefully going
to see each other again next
summer,” she added.
Samantha and her mother, Erin, have both been seen
by the genetics team at Shodair Children’s Hospital for
a condition called Stickler Syndrome. Samantha and
the other CMN Champions represent children’s health
care needs and the hospitals that provide criticallyneeded
care to young patients throughout the nation.
Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, the alliance
of premier hospitals for children, is a non-profit
organization dedicated to saving and improving the
lives of children by raising funds for children’s hospitals
across North America. Shodair Children’s Hospital is
proud to be Montana’s only Children’s Miracle
Network Hospital.
