<strong>Shodair</strong> Welcomes New Board of Trustees Members<br />
This summer, six new members were appointed to the <strong>Shodair</strong> <strong>Children's</strong> <strong>Hospital</strong> Board of Trustees.<br />
All are Helena residents, and will serve three-year terms.<br />
Dr. William Hasquet<br />
A native of Shelby, optometrist Dr. Bill<br />
Hasquet graduated from Carroll<br />
College with a bachelor of arts degree<br />
in combined sciences in 1993. He<br />
received his doctorate in optometry in 1997 from<br />
Southern California College of Optometry and became a<br />
partner at Montana Eyecare in Helena in 1998.<br />
He currently serves as President of the Montana<br />
Optometric Association and is also a member of the<br />
American Optometric Association.<br />
Janet Hedges<br />
Ms. Hedges is a certified financial planner<br />
with Raymond James Financial<br />
Services, Inc. She has been in the<br />
financial services industry since 2000,<br />
specializing in working with businesses and individuals to<br />
achieve their retirement planning and investment goals.<br />
A graduate of Carroll College, Ms. Hedges earned her<br />
degree in business administration with concentrations in<br />
management and finance.<br />
Representative Galen Hollenbaugh<br />
Mr. Hollenbaugh has represented<br />
HD81 since 2006. He works for the<br />
Montana Department of Labor and<br />
Industry, where he is Operations<br />
Bureau Chief for the Business Standards Division.<br />
A graduate of the University of Montana, Mr.<br />
Hollenbaugh earned his bachelor of arts degree in political<br />
science and his master's of public administration. He<br />
served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Montana Secretary of<br />
State Linda McCulloch from 2009 to <strong>2012</strong>. Prior to that,<br />
he served on the executive staffs of Attorneys General Joe<br />
Mazurek and Mike McGrath for a total of 12 years.<br />
Dr. Joel Maes<br />
Originally from Anaconda, Dr. Joel<br />
Maes attended the University of<br />
Montana where he studied chemistry<br />
and pre-medical science. He received<br />
his dental education at the University of Minnesota.<br />
Following graduation, Dr. Maes joined the U.S. Navy and<br />
underwent additional clinical training in San Diego,<br />
California. He has practiced in Helena since 1981.<br />
Dr. Maes is a member of the American Dental<br />
Association and the Montana Dental Association.<br />
He is a Fellow in the American College of Dentists,<br />
the International College of Dentists, and has achieved<br />
a Mastership designation in the Academy of<br />
General Dentistry.<br />
The Reverend Daniel B. Shea<br />
Father Dan Shea was raised in<br />
Anaconda. He graduated with honors<br />
with a degree in classical languages in<br />
1965 from Carroll College, where he<br />
began studying for the priesthood in his junior year.<br />
He began his career in 1969 as principal of Bozeman<br />
Rosary High school. In 1978, he was assigned to Carroll<br />
College, where he has served in a variety of roles,<br />
including Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of<br />
Students. He is currently an Associate Professor of<br />
Classical Languages and also serves as pastor of Our<br />
Lady of the Valley Catholic Parish in Helena.<br />
Father Shea obtained his masters of education degree<br />
in counseling from Montana State University in Bozeman<br />
in 1976, and his doctorate degree in higher education/<br />
personnel administration from Boston College in<br />
Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts in 1984. He earned his<br />
certification as a chemical dependency counselor from<br />
the State of Montana in 1999.<br />
J. Edward Surbrugg, Ph.D.<br />
Dr. Ed Surbrugg is a senior soil<br />
scientist, reclamation specialist, and<br />
operations manager for two Montana<br />
Tetra Tech offices. He has 30 years of<br />
professional experience managing and providing<br />
technical expertise for large, multidisciplinary<br />
environmental projects at sites throughout the western<br />
U.S. and Mexico for government and private clients.<br />
After earning his undergraduate degree in range<br />
ecology from Colorado State University in 1979, Dr.<br />
Surbrugg received his master's degree from Montana<br />
State University in land rehabilitation in 1982 and his<br />
doctorate in soil physics from North Carolina State<br />
University in 1992. Dr. Surbrugg is a certified<br />
professional soil scientist through the National American<br />
Registry of Certified Professionals in Agronomy, Crops,<br />
and Soils (ARCPACS).<br />
