4/02/09 9070 9077 Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Certificates and Certificate Replacement. Regulation 9070(k)(6) was<br />

amended to clarify experience requirements for issuance <strong>of</strong> multiple certificates,<br />

Supervisory, Management, and Executive. Language to show that experience must<br />

be in permanent positions was also added, and will be counted at “higher levels.<br />

Regulation 9077 was amended to clarify how <strong>POST</strong> reissues <strong>POST</strong> Certificates.<br />

minimum content and hours for Basic Course Learning Domains 7, 9, 17, & 33.<br />

1/01/09 1005 Continuing Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Training (CPT). This changes individual anniversary dates<br />

to a single statewide anniversary date to accommodate quarterly or biennial training<br />

schedules in use throughout the state. It also provides <strong>POST</strong> staff a clear window to<br />

track CPT hours for the purpose <strong>of</strong> compliance audits<br />

<strong>POST</strong> Basic Courses Test Administration and Security Guidelines Language was<br />

added to incorporate the <strong>POST</strong> Basic Courses Test Administration and Security<br />

Guidelines- 2008 by reference into Regulations 1005, 1007, and 1008 and<br />

Procedures D-1 and D-10.<br />

2008<br />

12/07/08 1005 Airport Peace Officer Basic Training. This amendment to Regulation 1005 specifies<br />

that airport peace <strong>of</strong>ficers must complete two basic training requirements – Aviation<br />

Security and the Regular Basic Course (RBC).<br />

11/15/08 1081 Child Safety When a Caretaker, Parent, or Guardian is Arrested. Penal Code<br />

§13517.7 directed the Commission to develop guidelines and training for use by<br />

state and local law enforcement <strong>of</strong>ficers in addressing issues related to child safety<br />

when a caretaker, parent, or guardian is arrested. These guidelines amended<br />

Regulation 1081.<br />

requirements for every state local law enforcement department appear in Regulation<br />

Employment Status Notification. <strong>State</strong>s that a Notice <strong>of</strong> Appointment/Termination<br />

(NOAT) application may be submitted via the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)<br />

system. Most employing departments have (EDI) - an efficient and cost effective way<br />

for information to be submitted. Departments without EDI availability may still mail a<br />

NOAT to <strong>POST</strong>.<br />

implement a course <strong>of</strong> instruction for training <strong>California</strong> law enforcement <strong>of</strong>ficers in<br />

the handling <strong>of</strong> human trafficking complaints and to develop guidelines for the law<br />

enforcement response to human trafficking. These guideline topics are now in<br />

Regulation 1081.<br />

teaching RBC. Shows the Academy Instructor Development Course requirements<br />
