New Agency – Tracient Technologies
Unique Micro Design (UMD) has been appointed a Value Added Distributor for the Tracient range of RFID
products. Tracient Technologies specializes in wireless, mobile RFID solutions utilizing both HF and UHF
frequencies.
New Product Release
Tracient Padl-R Series RFID Readers
The Tracient Padl-R Series RFID Readers provide a flexible
combination of Bluetooth and USB interfaces. Readily integrated
with a wide variety of wireless handheld PDAs or smart phones
using Bluetooth makes it a perfect retrofit option for businesses
wanting to add value to their existing handheld technology.
Alternatively the USB interface allows for static mounting on a
wall or counter for tagged items to be read in close proximity.
The Padl-R Readers feature a highly configurable user interface
with a variety of use modes such as push to read, remote
triggering or 'always on' operation. Up to 1,000 tag values can be
stored using the data logging mode and downloaded to a PC or
laptop at a later time. Integration with other products such as
Bluetooth GPS receivers is easy using Tracient’s Sens-R Blue
technology.
The Padl-R Readers are ideal for the mobile workforce to track and monitor mobile assets and for assisting with
simultaneous asset position and identification in the field. Lightweight portability makes it excellent for use in
security or logistics operations. Operating with industry standard tags these readers are also ideal for Near Field
Communications (NFC) type applications. Other applications include indoor asset management, condition
monitoring, security, vending and ticketing.
UMD Stocked RFID Tags
The FerroxTag FXT 1.X Series are High Frequency (13.56Mz) RFID transponders
designed for harsh environments. Small size and screw mounting holes make them ideally
suited to attaching to a variety of assets including metal and non-metal objects. The
FerroxTag can also be glued onto assets. Furthermore, the FerroxTag uses a high
magnetic permeability ferrite material that enhances the performance of the winding thus
reducing the dimensions of the coil and tag.
The FerroxTag FXT 1.2 Intrinsically Safe Series are High Frequency (13.56Mz) RFID
transponder's are designed for use in harsh and potentially explosive environments. Its
small size and screw mounting holes make it ideally suited to attaching to a variety of
metal assets. The FerroxTag can also be glued onto the asset. A key feature of the
FerroxTag is the direction of the engergising field activating the device: it is not
perpendicular to the identified item but parallel to it. This means that the performance is
almost independent of the material to which it is attached.
FerroxTag 13.56MHz with Bar Code encapsulated L-shape plastic capsule is complaint
with the ISO/IES 15693 and ISO/IEC 18000-3 global open standards. It includes an ID
number bar printed code on the encapsulation, keeping the possibility to read it with a
standard bar code reader. This product offers a user accessible memory of 1024 bits,
organized in 32 blocks of 4 bytes and an optimizedcommand set. Each transponder has a
factory programmed 8 byte unique identifier. Prior to delivery the FerroxTag's undergo
complete parametric testing, in order to ensure the highest quality.
The PDC Smart Re-Wearable Wristband is a waterproof 100% silicone wristband with an
embedded 13.56MHz RFID Transponder. With a comfortable flexible silicone material,
the PDC Smart is an ideal wristband for use as a season pass or gym membership, or
alternatively can be re-issued again and again for event day entry uses.
http://www.umd.com.au/itd/var/pdc_smartwristband.html
The 13.56MHz Encapsulated Transponder from Texas Instruments is compliant with the
ISO/IEC 15693 standard, a global open standard that allows interoperability of products
from multiple manufacturers. A user memory of 2k bits allows for advanced solutions in
demanding supply chain management applications such as laundry tracking. It is
especially designed and tested for applications that require a ruggedized transponder
that can withstand harsh environments.
The ClarIDy MSIT50 is a custom designed tag for application onto metalic and nonmetalic
surfaces. As a passive UHF tag it offers relatively long read distances and is
appropriate for use on parts, components, tools, shelves, consumer and electronic
products, automobile and container tracking.
The Fujitsu A501 "linen" RFID tags are the perfect solution for allowing you to maximize
your laundry management effectiveness. These "linen" tags can be used on any textile
good such as uniforms, garments, towels, mats, etc, are waterproof, heatproof, pressure
and alkaline resistant making them the perfect tool for application in hospitals, leisure
facilities, hotels and inns. The durability and flexible nature of these "linen" tags make
them ideally suited for insertion into seams or linings of cotton, woollen and synthetic
garments and manchester.
The IT32A, Intermec Technologies version of an RFID UHF identification card, offers
broader applicability than its predecessor with EPC Gen 2 / ISO 18000-6C air interface
protocol, and both FCC (915 MHz) coniguration. It also provides a longer read range than
most RFID card form factors. While the IT32A ID card is primarily intended for use as an
identification badge for long range ingress / egress monitoring, its longer read range and
durable packaging make it the ideal RFID tag for a variety of other applications.
Intermec’s Large Rigid tag is a truly passive UHF radio frequency
identiication (RFID) transponder that delivers superior performance on
a variety of surfaces including plastic, wood and metal. The tag,
available in both Gen 2 and ISO 18000-6B versions, combines an
impressive range with a rugged yet compact package designed for harsh industrial applications and
temperatures ranging from -40° to 250° F (-40° to +121° C). No other tag on the market can claim the
ruggedness and worldwide usability of these tags.
Intermec’s Small Rigid tag is a truly passive UHF radio frequency identiication (RFID)
transponder that delivers superior performance on a variety of surfaces, including metal,
plastic and wood. The tag, available in both Gen 2 and ISO 18000-6B versions, combines
an impressive range with a rugged yet compact package designed for harsh industrial
applications and temperatures from -40°C to 121°C. No other tags on the market can claim the ruggedness
and worldwide usability of these tags.
The Small Rigid Tags are ideal for industrial applications where ruggedness, chemical resistance or higher
temperature ratings are required and where tag size is an important consideration.
