her have yet been found.<br />

22. Mary A. <strong>Halpin</strong> (Robert 2 , <strong>James</strong> 1 ) was born in Vinton County, Ohio in June,<br />

1873. She moved to Moundsville, WV with her family shortly after 1880. Mary<br />

graduated from Moundsville High School in 1892. She was married to Thomas J.<br />

Lacey in Moundsville on September 7, 1905. Thomas, born in New York October 8,<br />

1866, was a son <strong>of</strong> Mathew and Johanna Burke Lacey. Like her sister Catherine,<br />

Mary also worked as a teacher in the Marshall County schools. Thomas and Mary<br />

lived in Moundsville until her death. She died tragically from suicide by hanging on<br />

June 16, 1928. She was buried at Martins Ferry, Ohio.<br />

Mary and Thomas had one daughter:<br />

60. i. Agnes T. Lacey (1906 – 1993)<br />

23. Agnes T. <strong>Halpin</strong> (Robert 2 , <strong>James</strong> 1 ) was born in Zaleski, Vinton County, Ohio<br />

February 24, 1875. She married <strong>James</strong> Nesbitt Wells on April 20, 1907. They were<br />

married in St. Francis Xavier Church in Moundsville, WV. <strong>James</strong> was a son <strong>of</strong><br />

Charles Prather Wells and Martha Nesbitt Wells. He was born at Wells Bottom,<br />

Marshall County, WV on January 30, 1876. In the early years <strong>of</strong> their marriage they<br />

lived on their farm in Wells Bottom in southern Marshall County. In about 1922 they<br />

moved to a home at 312 Tenth Street in Moundsville where they lived until <strong>James</strong>’<br />

death. <strong>James</strong> Nesbitt Wells died August 6, 1949. Following his death Agnes lived<br />

with her daughter Martha at 915 Sixth Street in Moundsville. Agnes died on<br />

September 9, 1955. She is buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, New Martinsville, WV.<br />

Agnes and <strong>James</strong> had three children:<br />

61. i. Charles Prather Wells (1908 – 1998)<br />

62. ii. Robert <strong>Halpin</strong> Wells (1910 – 1953)<br />

63. iii. Martha Wells (1912 – 1990)<br />

24. Jennie M. <strong>Halpin</strong> (Robert 2 , <strong>James</strong> 1 ) was born in Zaleski, Ohio in October, 1876.<br />

She moved to Moundsville with her family shortly after 1880. Jennie graduated from<br />

Moundsville High School in 1895. She married Thomas M. Reese in Moundsville on<br />

September 26, 1906. Thomas Reese, son <strong>of</strong> John and Mary Reese, was born in Wales<br />

in May, 1872. Following their marriage, Jennie and Thomas lived in Canonsburg,<br />

Pennsylvania where Thomas was a Justice <strong>of</strong> The Peace. No records beyond 1920<br />

have yet been found.<br />

Jennie and Thomas had five children:<br />

64. i. Thomas Reese (1907 - 1982)<br />

65. ii. John Paul Reese (1910 - )<br />

66. iii. Mary J. Reese (1912 - )<br />
