8. Ellen <strong>Halpin</strong> (<strong>James</strong> 1 ) was born in Jefferson County, <strong>Virginia</strong> in 1858. Like her<br />
sister Jane, she moved to Vinton County, Ohio. She married John Casey in 1853.<br />
John Casey was born in Canada in May, 1858. John Casey worked as a locomotive<br />
engineer for the railroad. From 1900 through at least 1930 they lived in Columbus,<br />
Ohio. Ellen <strong>Halpin</strong> Casey died sometime after 1930.<br />
Ellen and John had five children:<br />

45. iii. Grace Casey (1888 - )<br />
46. iv. Helen Casey (1894 - )<br />
47. v. Margaret Casey (1898 - )<br />
THIRD GENERATION<br />
9. John Ralph Ault (Mary Ault 2 , <strong>James</strong> 1 ) was born in Samples Manor, Maryland on<br />
April 21, 1866. He married Mary Ellen McNulty in St. Xavier’s Church, Wood<br />
County, <strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong> on August 15, 1888. Mary Ellen was born in <strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong><br />
on December 24, 1862. John and Mary Ellen lived their entire married lives together<br />
in Parkersburg, <strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong> where he was employed as a clerk/bookkeeper for<br />
Standard Oil. John Ault died in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Parkersburg from uremia on<br />
January 23, 1944. He is buried in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Parkersburg.<br />
John and Mary Ellen had two children:<br />
48. i. Annie Loretta. Ault (1888 – 1950)<br />
49. ii. Ralph Gregory Ault (1903 – 1950)<br />
10. <strong>James</strong> M. Ault (Mary Ault 2 , <strong>James</strong> 1 ) was born in <strong>Virginia</strong> in 1868. He and his<br />
wife Irene were married in 1897. In 1900 they lived in Wilmerding, Allegheny<br />
County, Pennsylvania. No more records have yet been found.<br />
11. Lottie W. Ault (Mary Ault 2 , <strong>James</strong> 1 ) was born in Bolivar, Jefferson County, <strong>West</strong><br />
<strong>Virginia</strong> in 1870. No records beyond 1880 have yet been found.<br />
12. Sarah V. Ault (Mary Ault 2 , <strong>James</strong> 1 ) was born in Bolivar, Jefferson County, <strong>West</strong><br />
<strong>Virginia</strong> in 1872. No records <strong>of</strong> her have yet been found beyond 1880.<br />
13. Annie M. Ault (Mary Ault 2 , <strong>James</strong> 1 ) was born in Bolivar, Jefferson County, <strong>West</strong><br />
<strong>Virginia</strong> on November 13, 1873. Sometime between 1900 and 1910 she moved to<br />
Johnson County, Texas where she was employed in a railroad <strong>of</strong>fice. She married her<br />
husband Henry E. Culter in Texas in 1913. Henry, son <strong>of</strong> John W, Culter and<br />
Elizabeth Hawkins Culter was born in Illinois in November, 1867. Henry was<br />
employed as the stationmaster at the Union Depot, Santa Fe Railroad, in Galveston,<br />
Texas. Annie Ault Culter died in Tarrant County, Texas on April 3, 1943.<br />
