Overview
The Micro Droplet Systems are built around Dolomite’s industry leading pumps,
connectors and chips. They provide a complete solution for the generation of
monodispersed droplets in the size range 20 – 250µm. Dolomite also provides a range of
flow accessories for use with the Micro Droplet Systems for quick set-up and
experimentation.
Droplet System Reagent Kit (Part No. 3200048)
The Droplet System Reagent Kit contains a range of liquids for initial droplet
demonstrations with a Droplet System. This provides users with the capability to start
making droplets of oil-in-water or water-in-oil immediately. The reagent kit also contains
two commonly used surfactants to increase droplet stability and chip cleaning fluid.

Custom Flow Resistor Kit (Part No. 3200049)
The Custom Flow Resistor Kit is designed for use with the Pressure-based Droplet Starter
System. With the tools provided, flow resistors of the required length can be made from
1.6mm (1/16”) OD tubing. This enables the user to set the desired flow rate ratio between
the organic phase and the aqueous phase without independent pressure control of each
phase. The additional benefit of flow resistors is that they maximize the flow rate range of
the Mitos P-Pump and prevent flow rate instability when using fluids of different
viscosities. The Custom Flow Resistor Kit contains high tolerance FEP tubing with 100 µm
microbore and the required fittings to connect into the droplet system.

The Droplet System Starter Kits contain all the required tubing, fittings and accessories for
carrying out experimentation with the micro droplet systems. With the starter kit it is quick
and easy to set-up the droplet system and start making droplets. There is a separate
starter kit for each of the micro droplet systems.
