1. Charging-inflow<br />

The sewage is pumped from<br />

the primary treatment into the<br />

SBR reactor.<br />

2. Aeration<br />

With the help of a submerged<br />

aerator (injector aerator) or<br />

a disc aerator, the sewage is<br />

enriched with oxygen and it is<br />

circulated. The microorganism<br />

which are formed hereby, take<br />

over the purification of the<br />

sewage as activated sludge<br />

3. Sedimentation<br />

In the sedimentation phase<br />

the aeration is stopped. The<br />

sludge in the purification plant<br />

deposits on the ground. In the<br />

upper area a clear water zone<br />

is produced. Here you can find<br />

the purified water now.<br />

4. Clear water<br />

removal-outflow<br />

The purified sewage is now<br />

transported out of the clear<br />

water zone with the help of a<br />

pump or an air pressure lifter<br />

Advance through innovations<br />

Conductance measurement<br />

The conductance measurement is our advancement<br />

of the floating switch technology.<br />

It is used with the treatment plants <strong>AQUA</strong>-SIMPLEXpionier<br />

and <strong>AQUA</strong>-<strong>SIMPLEXsolo</strong>.<br />

Advantages: Advantages:<br />

The water level is measured with the conductance<br />

measurement at two switching points like with a floating<br />

switch.<br />

The switching hysteresis is in an area of 5 cm, with a<br />

floating switch at 20 cm. Like this, water is diffused considerably<br />

faster and more even through the conductance<br />

measurement and it is pumped through the purification<br />

system.<br />

The conductance measurement regularly calibrates new<br />

and measures exactly as well in cases of different salinity or<br />

sludge volume.<br />

Since in the conductance measurement there are no<br />

moveable parts, errors such as cable break or clamping of a<br />

floating switch are excluded.<br />

Through the conductance measurement besides the<br />

electricity control also the entry of air of the aerator is<br />

controlled. If no oxygen should enter despite a functioning<br />

aerator, the alarm signal is effected.<br />

New aeration screw OXY-Jet 2<br />

The new aeration screw is a technical improvement<br />

of the previous aeration screw.<br />

Through the new airfoil position a twist?? between the<br />

airfoils is excluded.<br />

The motor load has been considerably reduced since<br />

the new aeration screw gets along with a lower airfoil<br />

inclination.<br />

Due to the lower motor load the durability of the aerator<br />

increases.<br />

The entry of air is about 30 % higher compared to the<br />

previous system<br />

A considerable major pressure of the aerator is possible,<br />

like this it is possible to aerate efficiently in case of major<br />

water quantity, too.<br />

The new aeration screw is compatible to the previous<br />

system.

Output blocker for sludge Back pressure safety<br />

The output blocker for sludge has proved its worth for years<br />

and it operates reliably for the protection of the environment.<br />

Advantages: Advantages:<br />

After the clear water extraction the pump is closed by a<br />

flap trap.<br />

Through the closure of the clear water pump the entrance<br />

of sludge into the pump case is prevented. Like this pumping<br />

down the activated sludge through the clear water<br />

extraction is excluded.<br />

The protection against the pumped sludge protects a<br />

downstream leaching against blockage.<br />

The environmental protection is increased through the<br />

output blocker for sludge.<br />

The quality of the effluent is improved through the output<br />

blocker for sludge.<br />

The back pressure safety is a reasonable option for sewage<br />

treatment plants, which are located in an area endangered by<br />

flooding.<br />

If the sewage treatment effluent is flooded by a high<br />

water situation outside the sewage treatment plant, the<br />

back pressure safety protects against flooding of the<br />

treatment plant.<br />

The back pressure safety is installed in the drain pipe.<br />

The installation can also be effected additionally in line<br />

with the maintenance. We offer the back pressure at<br />

request.<br />

The back pressure safety is available for low excessive<br />

pressure with KG plug and for major excessive pressure<br />

with a pipeline system.<br />

The pressure hose of the clear water pump is connected<br />

to the back pressure safety. In case of excessive pressure,<br />

the flap trap closes at the clear water pump.<br />

For the back pressure safety an emergency drain is<br />

provided.<br />

With the plants which are endangered by flooding, the<br />

operator saves considerably on cleaning and maintenance<br />

works.<br />

Standard purification plants are not suitable for these kinds of loads. This is why the additional sewage must be stored.<br />

How does it work?<br />

Every drop of sewage is initially transported into the buffer basin and then it is measured<br />

to the size of the purification plant! Like this the sewage is pumped - this is at least 95% too much and it costs a lot of money.<br />

This is not the case with the <strong>Kordes</strong> overload storage!<br />

Here only the sewage, which cannot momentarily be purified by the purification plant, is transported into the storage. Only when the<br />

primary treatment tank is full, the inflowing sewage flows into the overload storage. As far as the primary treatment tank is able to take<br />

in the sewage again, the pump of the overload storage fills it in. This process is repeated until the overload storage is completely empty.<br />

Here you can see a theoretical representation of how maximum overloads, which are transported to the overload storage,<br />

build up in gastronomy on certain days. In the course of the week the overload storage empties according to the respective<br />

H-module<br />

How does the H-module work ?<br />

The clear water pump transports the water cyclical<br />

through the UV-module. In this module the wavelength<br />

of the UV light, which is necessary for the disinfection,<br />

is produced by a special construction of the UV lamp.<br />

The quartz glass material makes sure that only UV light<br />

of the proper wave length shines on the water for the<br />

disinfection. Our own developed electricity supply leads<br />

to the optimal and smooth functioning of the UV radiator.<br />

The H-module works with this UV radiator technology in<br />

a specially developed stainless-steel core. This guarantees<br />

an optimal utilisation of the UV energy so that the UV<br />

energy can be very effective while the water regularly<br />

flows through the UV reactor. Consequently, all noxious<br />

micro-organism which are contained in the water, get the<br />

same necessary dose of UV energy, so that they do not<br />

have a pathogenic effect anymore.<br />

Disinfection of water with UV light<br />

UV light is a natural element of our sun light. Due to<br />

their high energy, the wave lengths of the UV light have<br />

the unique ability to destroy microorganism (bacteria,<br />

viruses, germs etc) in the water. A multiplying of this<br />

organism, which can evoke infections and illnesses, is<br />

stopped through the utilisation of UV light.<br />

Long-term consideration<br />

The UV radiator has a service life of about 3000<br />

circuits (about 5 years). The exchange must be<br />

carried out by an authorised specialised firm.<br />

The moment in which the radiator has to be changed, is<br />

indicated on the control panel on time 150 days before. Like<br />

this, the exchange can be carried out during a maintenance<br />

company.<br />

How does the P-module work?<br />

There are water protection areas into which even the purified effluent of extremely<br />

well functioning small purification plants may not be discharged. A too high<br />

concentration of phosporus in the outlet of a small purification plant can lead<br />

to oxygen deficiency in the waters, into which the sewage is discharged or to<br />

an increase of phosphate content in the groundwater. With the <strong>AQUA</strong>-SIMPLEX<br />

P-Module, a phosphate precipitation is carried out with the help of iron III chloride,<br />

in order to reduce or rather to detain the phosphorus in the small purification plant.<br />

Why phosphate removal?<br />

With the help of a dosing pump the precipitation agent is led into the SBR reactor<br />

during the aeration phase. The precipitation agent binds the phosphate in the<br />

activated sludge of the SBR reactor. The activated sludge and the phosphate are<br />

pumped in the primary treatment through the regular excess sludge removal. Here<br />

the bound phosphate is deposited on the mixed primary sludge and it is disposed<br />

through the regular sludge removal.<br />

Why dosing of nutritive substances?<br />

The dosing of nutritive substances offers an optimal possibility to bridge long-lasting operation<br />

intervals (e.g. holiday, seasonal pauses etc.). For this an example: camping sites mostly<br />

are closed for 4 to 6 months in the period of constructions in the winter. For the biology<br />

in the sewage treatment plant this means that during the whole period no nutritive substances<br />

are available through the sewage inlet. With a standard sewage treatment plant the<br />

biology just would die off. It is in this point that the carbon dosing is employed. As soon as<br />

the sewage inlet runs dry, nutritive substances are dosed into the biology with the carbon.<br />

Like this, the activated sludge is kept alive during winter months. Such a sewage treatment<br />

plant, which is equipped like this, continues its operation in spring without any problems.<br />

We offer the dosing of carbon in the minimum size for holiday houses (4 pe.) and the maximum<br />

size for camping sites (50 pe.).<br />

How does the C-module work?<br />

The dosing of an external carbon source is effected through a variable dosing pump in connection<br />

with a time relay. The whole technique which is required for this, can be situated<br />

in an outdoor pillar. The dosing of carbon is only effected during the so-called economical<br />

operation. If the sewage treatment plant is 10 days uninterruptedly in economical operation,<br />

the dosing begins: with every charging a certain quantity of carbon is contemporaneously<br />

pumped into the SBR-reactor. The quantity and duration of the flow depends on the<br />

respective size of the sewage treatment plant and is preset in the factory.<br />

Function description<br />

The purification plants consist of the primary treatment<br />

container/ balancing reservoir and the SBR reactor. First of<br />

all, the sewage flows into the primary treatment container<br />

/balancing reservoir where the substance is deposited and<br />

forms a sludge deposit on the ground. The sludge must<br />

regularly be extracted by suction out of the purification<br />

plant. The SBR purification plant functions with the retention<br />

operation. The inflowing water is first of all stored<br />

in the primary treatment container/ balancing reservoir.<br />

Then it is pumped into the SBR reactor where the further<br />

treatment of the sewage takes place in five successive<br />

phases.<br />

Filling: The SBR reactor is filled with the sewage<br />

of the primary treatment container/ balancing<br />

reservoir.<br />

Aeration: Oxygen is blown into the water<br />

through membrane tube aerators. Hereby<br />

activated sludge is produced, which consists of<br />

germs. In this phase the polluting load of the<br />

sewage is biodegraded.<br />

Extraction of the excess sludge: Since with<br />

every new aeration process new activated<br />

sludge is produced, the excess sludge is<br />

transported back into the primary treatment<br />

container/ balancing reservoir in this phase,<br />

so that the optimal amount of sludge can be<br />

reached in the SBR reactor.<br />

Sedimentation: During this phase the sewage<br />

is not aerated. Through the tranquillisation the<br />

activated sludge deposits on the ground of the<br />

container. Since the sludge sinks completely to<br />

the ground, the clear water remains in the upper<br />

area with a perfect water quality.<br />

Extraction of the clear water: In this phase<br />

the clear water is extracted with the help of a<br />

clear water pump.<br />

Weekly maximal loads<br />

The clearing system for extreme load fluctuations within<br />

short periods of time. Standard purification plants are<br />

not prepared for such loads. This is why the additionally<br />

accumulating sewage must be buffered. The balancing<br />

reservoir must be sufficiently sized therefore so that the<br />

maximum load can be stored.<br />

Load fluctuations<br />

With <strong>AQUA</strong>-SIMPLEXturbo the daily load fluctuations can<br />

be taken up effectively. If a permanent underload appears,<br />

the purification plant can be regulated according to the<br />

adequate number of inhabitants due to the mechanical<br />

height adjustment. Consequently the system works flexibly<br />

in different load situations.<br />

Suspension of the pumps<br />

The PVC bracket for the suspension of the pump is equipped<br />

with a shackle of stainless steel. The pumps are fixed<br />

on a traverse of stainless steel. With the help of a handhold<br />

on the bracket for the suspension of the pumps every single<br />

pump can easily be taken out of the purification plant.<br />

Height adjustment<br />

The pressure pipes of the pumps are telescopic. It is possible<br />

to effectuate a height adjustment of up to 55 cm.<br />

Pumps<br />

For the operation light pumps with a plastic case (7 kg) are<br />

utilised. The vacant spherical conduit amounts to 25 mm.<br />

Completely plug-in<br />

The controller and the single aggregates are connected<br />

through plugs. Thereby it is possible to have a cheaper<br />

and quicker change of spare parts without the help of<br />

service technicians.<br />

Function description<br />

The purification plants consist of the primary treatment<br />

container/ balancing reservoir and the SBR reactor. First of<br />

all, the sewage flows into the primary treatment container<br />

/balancing reservoir where the substance is deposited and<br />

forms a sludge deposit on the ground. The sludge must<br />

regularly be extracted by suction out of the purification<br />

plant. The SBR purification plant functions with the retention<br />

operation. The inflowing water is first of all stored<br />

in the primary treatment container/ balancing reservoir.<br />

Then it is pumped into the SBR reactor where the further<br />

treatment of the sewage takes place in five successive<br />

phases.<br />

Filling: The SBR reactor is filled with the sewage<br />

of the primary treatment container/ balancing<br />

reservoir.<br />

Aeration: Oxygen is blown into the water<br />

through membrane tube aerators. Hereby<br />

activated sludge is produced, which consists of<br />

germs. In this phase the polluting load of the<br />

sewage is biodegraded.<br />

Sedimentation: During this phase the sewage<br />

is not aerated. Through the tranquillisation the<br />

activated sludge deposits on the ground of the<br />

container. Since the sludge sinks completely to<br />

the ground, the clear water remains in the upper<br />

area with a perfect water quality.<br />

Extraction of the excess sludge: Since with<br />

every new aeration process new activated<br />

sludge is produced, the excess sludge is<br />

transported back into the primary treatment<br />

container/ balancing reservoir in this phase,<br />

so that the optimal amount of sludge can be<br />

reached in the SBR reactor.<br />

Extraction of the clear water: In this phase<br />

the clear water is extracted with the help of a<br />

clear water pump.<br />

Weekly maximal loads<br />

The clearing system for extreme load fluctuations within<br />

short periods of time. Standard purification plants are<br />

not prepared for such loads. This is why the additionally<br />

accumulating sewage must be buffered. The balancing<br />

reservoir must be sufficiently sized therefore so that the<br />

maximum load can be stored.<br />

Load fluctuations<br />

With CLEAR-WATER CW-T the daily load fluctuations can<br />

be taken up effectively. If a permanent underload appears,<br />

the purification plant can be regulated according to the<br />

adequate number of inhabitants due to the mechanical<br />

height adjustment. Consequently the system work<br />

flexibly in different load situations.<br />

Suspension of the pumps<br />

A pump in the purification plant is suspended on a chain.<br />

The stabilisation is effectuated through a skid pipe of stainless<br />

steel. This construction facilitates a continuous height<br />

adjustment and an easy removal in case of service works.<br />

Height adjustment<br />

Through the skid pipes a height adjustment of the pumps is<br />

possible from the ground of the container up to the cover.<br />

Pumps<br />

For the operation robust pumps with a grey cast iron case<br />

are utilised. The vacant spherical conduit amounts to 41<br />

mm in the smallest purification plant.<br />

Control box<br />

The purification plant CLEAR-WATER is designed for the<br />

large-scale operation. Therefore the whole system is respectively<br />

secured. The equipment contains: fuses, ground<br />

fault circuit interrupter, crowbar, lightning arrester.<br />

The pump cables are directly clipped on the control<br />

panel without any joints. The motors of the purification<br />

plant function with electric power. The software which<br />

controls the purification plant functions on a Siemens<br />

CPU. In case of repair you can react immediately since the<br />

components of the control system are available in every<br />

electrical retailer.<br />

The operation of the purification plant is effected through a<br />

touch screen graphic display (about 15x15 cm). Hereby you<br />

have a perfect clarity for the operating control of the purification<br />

plant. Generally it is possible to have an individual<br />

adaptation according to the customer.<br />

Data telecommunication<br />

The data telecommunication is effected optionally via GSM<br />

or through landline. In case of perturbation the purification<br />

plant independently notifies an error message via sms. On<br />

customer request it is possible to have a telecontrol for the<br />

diagnosis and a fault clearance of the purification plant.<br />

reactor where the further treatment of the sewage takes<br />

which is suspended on the pump foot. Thanks to the chain<br />

suspension, all pumps can generally be easily extracted<br />

in case of service works.<br />

Height adjustment<br />

Through the skid pipes a height adjustment of the pumps<br />

is possible from the ground of the container up to the<br />

cover. The height adjustment is regulated automatically<br />

through the decanter.<br />
