MEDIA ALERT: BCSC Announces New Principals<br />
WHO: Susan Wise, currently assistant principal, was named principal of White Lick Elementary School for<br />
<strong>2011</strong>-20<strong>12</strong> school year by the <strong>Brownsburg</strong> <strong>Community</strong> School Corporation (BCSC) Board of School Trustees on<br />
Monday evening.<br />

WHAT: Mrs. Wise has served the BCSC as an assistant principal (Delaware Trail, Eagle and White Lick) since<br />
2002 and will replace Kat Jessup. Jessup was named BCSC Assistant Superintendent in February.<br />
QUOTE: Dr. Snapp said, "Mrs. Wise has distinguished herself as a leader, serving as an assistant principal in<br />
<strong>Brownsburg</strong> for the past ten years. During that time she has been mentored by three very successful principals-<br />
-Mr. Phil Utterback, Mr. Ryan Hoover, and Mrs. Kat Jessup. Her keen knowledge of White Lick Elementary<br />
School and its programs will provide for a smooth transition for students, parents, and staff. Mrs. Wise is wellliked<br />
and respected by those with whom she works and will continue to provide a high level of leadership at<br />
WLE."<br />
QUOTE: Mrs. Wise said, "I am very excited and honored to serve as White Lick Elementary's principal. I truly<br />
believe that my 18 years of teaching and administrative experience have prepared me to become an effective<br />
leader. I know that by following Mrs. Jessup I have some big shoes to fill. I hope to build on her<br />
success and continue the tradition of excellence."<br />
WHO: Scott Chambers, currently principal at Hamilton Southeastern's Riverside Elementary School (Jan.<br />
2009- present), was named Principal of Reagan Elementary School for <strong>2011</strong>-20<strong>12</strong> school year by the<br />
<strong>Brownsburg</strong> <strong>Community</strong> School Corporation (BCSC) Board of School Trustees on Monday evening.<br />
WHAT: Mr. Chambers has also served as a principal in Spencer Owen <strong>Community</strong> <strong>Schools</strong> (2001-2004) and<br />
Greenwood <strong>Community</strong> School Corporation (2004 - Dec. 2008)<br />
QUOTE: Dr. Snapp said, "Mr. Chambers has provided excellent building leadership serving as principal in three<br />
school corporations, including most recently at Hamilton Southeastern School Corporation. He has a strong<br />
background in curriculum and instruction and is known for his ability to develop strong relationships. We are<br />
thrilled to have him joining the staff of the <strong>Brownsburg</strong> <strong>Community</strong> School Corporation and are excited about<br />
the future for students, parents and staff at Reagan Elementary School under Mr. Chambers' leadership."<br />
QUOTE: Mr. Chambers said, "I am excited and honored to have an opportunity to serve the <strong>Brownsburg</strong><br />
community. I am anxious to start building relationships with the teachers that I will work with, the families of<br />
Reagan, and the students that I will serve. I hope to continue with traditions that Reagan has built and<br />
challenge our new team to reach for great heights. I can't wait to get started!"<br />
QUOTE: Dr. Snapp added, "I would like to add, that Mrs. Wise and Mr. Chambers already live in <strong>Brownsburg</strong>

and their children currently attend <strong>Brownsburg</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>Schools</strong>. That fact is a strong testimony to the value<br />
of our schools."<br />
WHO: Shane Hacker, currently Ben Davis High School Mathematics Dept. Chairperson, was named<br />
<strong>Brownsburg</strong> High School Assistant Principal for the <strong>2011</strong>-20<strong>12</strong> school year by the <strong>Brownsburg</strong> <strong>Community</strong><br />
School Corporation (BCSC) Board of School Trustees on Monday evening.<br />
QUOTE: Dr. Snapp said, "Mr. Hacker will join the BHS staff this August and will play a key role in the team<br />
concept, serving as an assistant principal. He has a strong curriculum background as he currently serves as the<br />
Math Department Chair at Ben Davis High School. In addition to his responsibilities at Ben Davis High School,<br />
Mr. Hacker currently serves as a Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellow at the University of Indianapolis. We<br />
welcome Mr. Hacker to BCSC."<br />
QUOTE: Mr. Hacker said, "I am very excited to join the administrative team at <strong>Brownsburg</strong> High School. As a<br />
resident of Hendricks County I share the same values as <strong>Brownsburg</strong> <strong>Community</strong> School Corporation and look<br />
forward to applying my leadership skills learned at Ben Davis High School. Brett Daghe and the rest of the<br />
administrative team at BHS have made be feel very welcomed and I look forward to beginning my journey as a<br />
Bulldog."<br />
