Social Responsibility<br />
The <strong>Adler</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essional <strong>Psychology</strong> mission and vision emphasize<br />
the critical need to educate and train socially responsible graduates. This<br />
commitment builds upon the work <strong>of</strong> the first community psychologist, Alfred<br />
<strong>Adler</strong>. Because <strong>of</strong> the centrality <strong>of</strong> this commitment to the mission <strong>of</strong> the school,<br />
socially responsible practice has been adopted as a required competency in all<br />
degree programs. The attainment <strong>of</strong> this competency is achieved through a<br />
combination <strong>of</strong> practical training and coursework. The practical training is<br />
provided by means <strong>of</strong> the community service practicum in the first year <strong>of</strong> most<br />
