Graduation Requirements<br />

1. Satisfactory completion <strong>of</strong> 25 credit hours, including all required<br />

courses.<br />

2. Satisfactory completion <strong>of</strong> 400 minimum clock hours <strong>of</strong> specialized<br />

practicum in MFT.<br />

3. A cumulative grade point average <strong>of</strong> 3.0 or higher and no more than<br />

one grade <strong>of</strong> “C.”<br />

4. Successful completion <strong>of</strong> the Master’s Clinical Qualifying Examination<br />

in M.A.F.<br />

5. Submission <strong>of</strong> completed Graduation Application and full payment <strong>of</strong><br />

all outstanding tuition and fees.<br />

6. Faculty approval for graduation and recommendation to the Board <strong>of</strong><br />

Trustees for the conferral <strong>of</strong> the Certificate in Marriage and Family<br />

Therapy.<br />

M.A. in Counseling and Organizational<br />

<strong>Psychology</strong> (M.A.O.)<br />

The Master <strong>of</strong> Arts in Counseling and Organizational <strong>Psychology</strong> program<br />

combines the theories and skills <strong>of</strong> counseling psychology with organizational<br />

theory, design and development in order to prepare graduates for positions in<br />

business and industry, especially in organizational psychology and the related<br />

areas <strong>of</strong> personnel management, team building, performance enhancement,<br />

executive coaching, organizational development, training, and employee<br />

assistance programs.<br />

This program is unique in the area because it prepares graduates to sit for<br />

Illinois state level licensure as a master’s level counselor. Graduates will be<br />
