Graduation Requirements<br />
1. Satisfactory completion <strong>of</strong> 61 credit hours, including all required<br />
courses.<br />
2. Satisfactory completion <strong>of</strong> 700 minimum clock hours <strong>of</strong> clinical<br />
practicum.<br />
3. Satisfactory completion <strong>of</strong> 200 minimum clock hours <strong>of</strong> community<br />
service practicum.<br />
4. A cumulative grade point average <strong>of</strong> 3.0 or higher and no more than<br />
two grades or six credit hours <strong>of</strong> “C.”<br />
5. Successful completion <strong>of</strong> the Master’s Clinical Qualifying Examination<br />
in M.A.F.<br />
6. Submission <strong>of</strong> completed Graduation Application and full payment <strong>of</strong><br />
all outstanding tuition and fees.<br />
7. Faculty approval for graduation and recommendation to the Board <strong>of</strong><br />
Trustees for the conferral <strong>of</strong> the Master <strong>of</strong> Arts in Marriage and<br />
Family Counseling.<br />
Practicum<br />
An integral and scholarly part <strong>of</strong> all Master’s Programs <strong>of</strong>fered at <strong>Adler</strong> is<br />
the acquisition <strong>of</strong> practical clinical skills gained in field placements. Ongoing<br />
involvement in clinical and scholarly activities at pr<strong>of</strong>essional training sites gives<br />
students the closely supervised opportunity to apply and further develop the<br />
knowledge, skills, values, and competencies they gain in course work.<br />
