Financial Aid: Chicago Campus<br />
The <strong>Adler</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essional <strong>Psychology</strong> is approved by the U.S.<br />
Department <strong>of</strong> Education to award federal student aid to eligible students. In<br />
addition to our participation in the Title IV Federal Assistance program, we have<br />
several options available to students to help <strong>of</strong>fset expenses while attending<br />
school. Eligible students have the following options to choose from:<br />
• Federal Stafford Loans<br />
• Federal Work Study<br />
• Scholarships<br />
• Federal Graduate PLUS Loans<br />
• Alternative Loans (Available to U.S. and International Students)<br />
In order to be awarded financial assistance through the Office <strong>of</strong> Financial<br />
Aid, a student must have a completed financial aid file and must meet all<br />
eligibility requirements. Students begin the financial aid process by completing<br />
and submitting a Free Application <strong>of</strong> Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the<br />
Department <strong>of</strong> Education at www.FAFSA.ed.gov.<br />
Federal Financial Aid Eligibility Requirements<br />
• Be a citizen <strong>of</strong> the United States or an eligible non-citizen. (Pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />
citizenship may be required.) International students should contact<br />
the Office <strong>of</strong> Financial Aid for information.<br />
• Be matriculated in a degree or certificate program at <strong>Adler</strong> <strong>School</strong>.<br />
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress: completion <strong>of</strong> at least 70%<br />
<strong>of</strong> all attempted coursework and a cumulative GPA <strong>of</strong> at least a 3.0.<br />
• Maintain at least half-time enrollment as defined by your academic<br />
program:<br />
• Master’s or Certificate candidates: at least 4 credit hours per<br />
semester<br />
• Psy.D. candidates: at least 5 credit hours per semester<br />
• - OR – enrollment in any <strong>of</strong> the following: Practicum, Practicum<br />
Continuation, Internship (part-time or full-time), Dissertation<br />
Proposal, Dissertation, Dissertation Continuation<br />
