Wendy Paszkiewicz, Psy.D., Associate Vice President <strong>of</strong> Academic Affairs and<br />
Core Faculty<br />
Dr. Paszkiewicz earned her B.S. in <strong>Psychology</strong> at Michigan State University and<br />
her Psy.D. in Clinical <strong>Psychology</strong> at the Illinois <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
<strong>Psychology</strong>/Chicago. She is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Dr. Paszkiewicz<br />
teaches pr<strong>of</strong>essional development and practicum seminars. Her interests<br />
include women in leadership, social interest and responsibility, education and<br />
training in pr<strong>of</strong>essional psychology, and child and adolescent assessment and<br />
treatment. She served as an academic Director <strong>of</strong> Training at ISPP/Chicago and<br />
then the <strong>Adler</strong> <strong>School</strong> over the past eleven years. Dr. Paszkiewicz is actively<br />
involved in the National Council <strong>of</strong> <strong>School</strong>s and Programs in Pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
<strong>Psychology</strong> (NCSPP) and is the Past-President for the Association <strong>of</strong><br />
Chicagoland Externship and Practicum Training Sites (ACEPT), which is an<br />
organization focused on enhancing the quality <strong>of</strong> practicum training within<br />
pr<strong>of</strong>essional psychology.<br />
Brian Price, Ph.D., Core Faculty<br />
Dr. Price received his M.S.Ed. and Ph.D. in Counseling <strong>Psychology</strong> from the<br />
University <strong>of</strong> Kansas and Iowa State University, respectively. Prior to joining<br />
<strong>Adler</strong>, Dr. Price worked in the overseas division <strong>of</strong> the University <strong>of</strong> Maryland<br />
University College, where he taught counseling and psychology in Japan, Italy,<br />
Belgium, and Germany and was also the Resident Graduate Pr<strong>of</strong>essor in the<br />
United Kingdom. Prior to teaching, he was a forensic psychologist and director<br />
<strong>of</strong> the jail mental health services for Johnson County Mental Health Center in<br />
Olathe, Kansas. His primary research and teaching interests include career<br />
development, cross-cultural psychology and counseling, forensic psychology,<br />
and the interface between mental health policy and law.<br />
Victoria Priola-Surowiec, Psy.D., Core Faculty and Director <strong>of</strong> the Police<br />
<strong>Psychology</strong> Program<br />
Dr. Priola–Surowiec joined the <strong>Adler</strong> Faculty in July 2006. She earned her B.S.<br />
in <strong>Psychology</strong> at the University <strong>of</strong> Illinois-Champaign-Urbana and her M.A in<br />
Counseling <strong>Psychology</strong> and Psy.D. in Clinical <strong>Psychology</strong> from the <strong>Adler</strong> <strong>School</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essional <strong>Psychology</strong>. She is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and maintains<br />
a private practice in Chicago serving police <strong>of</strong>ficers and their families. Formerly,<br />
she was the Director <strong>of</strong> Training at Safe Alternatives, an inpatient treatment<br />
program for individuals, who engage in self-destructive behaviors including selfinjury.<br />
Dr. Priola-Surowiec teaches courses in police psychology and <strong>Adler</strong>ian<br />
theory and methods. Her additional research interests include the study <strong>of</strong><br />
resiliency, and police suicide.<br />
Shaifali Sandhya, Ph.D., Core Faculty<br />
Dr. Sandhya received a Ph.D. in <strong>Psychology</strong> and Human Development from the<br />
University <strong>of</strong> Chicago; an M.A. in <strong>Psychology</strong> (Neuropsychology) from the<br />
