His clinical interests include (1) ADHD and learning disorders in children,<br />

adolescents and adults, (2) personality assessment, especially MMPI-<br />

2/Rorschach integration, (3) primary and secondary prevention <strong>of</strong> anxiety and<br />

depression, (4) HIV-risk reduction, (5) clinical practice with gay, lesbian,<br />

bisexual and transgender individuals, and (6) pedagogical and pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />

issues in the training <strong>of</strong> counseling and clinical psychologists.<br />

Nataka Moore, Psy.D., Core Faculty and Director <strong>of</strong> Training<br />

and Community Service<br />

Dr. Moore earned her M.A. and Psy.D. at the Illinois <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />

<strong>Psychology</strong> (Chicago). Dr. Moore’s interests include promoting diversity and<br />

social justice, administration and leadership, and clinical work with children,<br />

adolescents and families.<br />

Harold Mosak, Ph.D., Distinguished Service Pr<strong>of</strong>essor<br />

Dr. Mosak serves as Chair <strong>of</strong> the Doctoral Scholars in Clinical <strong>Psychology</strong><br />

Program. Dr. Mosak earned his A.B. in <strong>Psychology</strong> and Ph.D. in Clinical<br />

<strong>Psychology</strong> at the University <strong>of</strong> Chicago. He is a Diplomate in Clinical <strong>Psychology</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong> the American Board <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essional <strong>Psychology</strong>, a Life Member and Fellow <strong>of</strong><br />

the APA, and a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Dr. Mosak teaches courses in<br />

<strong>Adler</strong>ian theory and methods as well as clinical seminars. His additional<br />

interests include the use <strong>of</strong> humor, the role <strong>of</strong> the spiritual in psychotherapy,<br />

multiple psychotherapy, and group and couples therapy.<br />

Mayumi Nakamura, Psy.D., Associate Director <strong>of</strong> Training<br />

Dr. Nakamura is a member <strong>of</strong> the Core Faculty and serves as the Associate<br />

Director <strong>of</strong> Training. She earned her M.A. in Organizational <strong>Psychology</strong> at<br />

Columbia University, Teacher College; and Psy.D. in Clinical <strong>Psychology</strong> at<br />

Illinois <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essional <strong>Psychology</strong>. Dr. Nakamura recently completed her<br />

post-doctoral residency at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center. Her<br />

clinical interests include international psychology, health psychology, behavioral<br />

medicine, and diversity issues. Dr. Nakamura is very passionate about diversity<br />

issues in the context <strong>of</strong> education and psychology.<br />

Haydee Nunez, M.B.A., Director <strong>of</strong> Community Service Career Development<br />

Haydee Nunez serves as the Chair <strong>of</strong> <strong>Adler</strong> <strong>School</strong>’s Diversity Team. She<br />

received her Master’s in Social Service Administration and Master’s in Business<br />

Administration from the University <strong>of</strong> Chicago. Haydee has a history <strong>of</strong><br />

commitment to Diversity and Community throughout her work, including her<br />

roles as the Assistant Director <strong>of</strong> Diversity Affairs for the University <strong>of</strong> Chicago<br />

and the Community Program Manager for Chicago Children’s Museum. Her<br />

current volunteer commitments include several roles with United Way including<br />

Chair <strong>of</strong> the Latino Community Outreach Committee, Member <strong>of</strong> the Chicago<br />

Council, and Member <strong>of</strong> the West Suburban Board <strong>of</strong> Directors.<br />
