Janna A. Henning, J.D., Psy.D., C.T., B.C.E.T.S., Core Faculty<br />

Dr. Henning earned her B.A. in Political Science at Indiana University and J.D.<br />

in Law at the Indiana University <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> Law. She earned her M.A. and Psy.D.<br />

in Clinical <strong>Psychology</strong> at The Chicago <strong>School</strong> and is a licensed clinical<br />

psychologist. She holds a Certification in Thanatology (Death, Dying, and<br />

Bereavement) through The Association <strong>of</strong> Death Education and Counseling, is<br />

a Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress, and has received advanced<br />

training in clinical hypnosis. Dr. Henning teaches courses and conducts research<br />

in trauma-focused approaches to intervention, death, dying, bereavement, and<br />

loss; biopsychosocial aspects <strong>of</strong> health and disorder; and intellectual<br />

assessment. Her interests include trauma-related dysfunction across the<br />

lifespan, dying and bereavement, vicarious traumatization and burnout, social<br />

interest and social responsibility, gender and multicultural issues, positive<br />

psychology, spirituality, giftedness, and relational constructivist approaches to<br />

therapy. She provides therapy to survivors <strong>of</strong> trauma, chronic illness,<br />

bereavement, and loss in a private practice setting.<br />

Christina Jackson-Bailey, Ph.D., Core Faculty<br />

Dr. Jackson-Bailey earned her B.A. in <strong>Psychology</strong> from The Ohio State<br />

University, her M.A. in Community Counseling from Loyola University Chicago,<br />

and her Ph.D. in Counseling <strong>Psychology</strong> from the University <strong>of</strong> Wisconsin-<br />

Milwaukee. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Michigan State<br />

University’s Counseling Center. Dr. Jackson-Bailey currently teaches lifestyle and<br />

career development, social psychology and individual differences, pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />

development seminar, and practicum seminar. Her additional interests include:<br />

Black (African American, African, etc.) clinical issues, multicultural competence,<br />

and spirituality.<br />

Leigh Johnson-Migalski, Psy.D., Core Faculty<br />

Dr. Johnson-Migalski graduated from Trinity University with a B.A. in English.<br />

She continued her education with an M.A. and Psy.D. from the <strong>Adler</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

Pr<strong>of</strong>essional <strong>Psychology</strong>. She has worked in community mental health centers,<br />

hospitals and in private practice. She currently is a licensed clinical psychologist<br />

teaching classes on Individual <strong>Psychology</strong> as well clinical interviewing and<br />

assessment. Her interests include mood disorders, spirituality and Individual<br />

<strong>Psychology</strong>.<br />

Kristin Velazquez Kenefick, Psy.D., Core Faculty and Interim Associate Program<br />

Director <strong>of</strong> the Doctor <strong>of</strong> <strong>Psychology</strong> in Clinical <strong>Psychology</strong> Program<br />

Dr. Kenefick received her doctoral degree from the Illinois <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />

<strong>Psychology</strong> (Chicago) and is a licensed clinical psychologist. Her interests<br />
