<strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essional <strong>Psychology</strong>. He is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Dr. Baker is<br />
also the Coordinator <strong>of</strong> the Sex Offender Treatment Programs, and teaches<br />
courses in psychophysiology, cognitive psychology, and clinical skills seminars.<br />
His additional interests include gerontology, forensics and correctional<br />
psychology, neuropsychology, clinical hypnosis, and psychotherapy with<br />
children, adolescents and adults.<br />
Dan Barnes, Ph.D., Director <strong>of</strong> Training for ACHS and Core Faculty<br />
Dr. Barnes also serves as the Director <strong>of</strong> Clinical Training and in that capacity<br />
oversees the PSC’s training programs, which include the American Psychological<br />
Association-approved Pre-doctoral Internship in Pr<strong>of</strong>essional <strong>Psychology</strong>, the<br />
psychotherapy and assessment practica, and the Post-Doctoral Residency in the<br />
PSC’s Prison Aftercare Program. He received his B.S. in psychology from Loyola<br />
University Chicago, and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Clinical <strong>Psychology</strong> from<br />
the University <strong>of</strong> Kentucky. He is a licensed clinical psychologist and has<br />
maintained a continuous clinical practice since 1972. He teaches courses in<br />
systems <strong>of</strong> psychotherapy and constructivist psychotherapy. Before coming to<br />
the Dreikurs PSC, he was centrally involved in graduate clinical training at<br />
Loyola University Chicago, where he developed a psychotherapy practicum<br />
(externship) and an APA-approved Pre-doctoral Internship in pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
psychology.<br />
Neil Bockian, Ph.D., Core Faculty<br />
Dr. Bockian earned his Ph.D. from the University <strong>of</strong> Miami, where he studied<br />
personality disorders with Dr. Theodore Millon, and mindfulness meditation with<br />
Jon Kabat-Zinn. Dr. Bockian has research and clinical interests in the areas <strong>of</strong><br />
personality disorders, health psychology, meditation, treatment planning, and<br />
behavioral medicine. He has written two books on personality disorders, and he<br />
has extensive experience treating individuals with spinal cord injuries and<br />
patients with chronic pain. He has employed individual therapy, group therapy,<br />
hypnosis, relaxation training, and mindfulness meditation in his practice.<br />
Wendy Bostwick, Ph.D., M.P.H.<br />
Dr. Bostwick is the Director <strong>of</strong> Community Engagement and a member <strong>of</strong> the<br />
Core Faculty. She received her B.A. in Politics from Ithaca College and her<br />
Master’s and Ph.D. in Public Health from the University <strong>of</strong> Illinois at Chicago.<br />
She also did post-doctoral work at the University <strong>of</strong> Michigan Substance Abuse<br />
Research Center, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Her teaching experience includes<br />
courses in LBGT public health, research methods, and community organizing<br />
for public health. Some <strong>of</strong> her research interests include sexual minority<br />
women's health; substance use and mental health issues among women; the<br />
health effects <strong>of</strong> stigma, discrimination, and marginalization; bisexuality;<br />
measurement <strong>of</strong> sexual orientation and sexual identity; and research with<br />
hidden and hard-to-reach populations. Her work has appeared in the Journal <strong>of</strong><br />
