Continuing/Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Education<br />
The <strong>Adler</strong> <strong>School</strong> is committed to providing lifelong learning and service to<br />
the public. The school thus <strong>of</strong>fers continuing pr<strong>of</strong>essional education courses,<br />
seminars, and workshops. Courses may also be taken on an audit basis for<br />
purposes <strong>of</strong> continuing pr<strong>of</strong>essional education. Qualified psychology graduate<br />
students, social workers, nurses, psychologists, physicians, and other health<br />
care pr<strong>of</strong>essionals may register for continuing education <strong>of</strong>ferings in order to<br />
earn continuing education credits. They may also register for individual courses<br />
or coursework required for a certificate in order to earn academic credit as a<br />
student-at-large. More information on student-at-large status is available in the<br />
section on Admissions policies. Information on certificate programs is also<br />
available in separate sections <strong>of</strong> this catalog.<br />
The <strong>School</strong> is approved by the following organizations to sponsor<br />
continuing education programs (CEU):<br />
• The American Psychological Association,<br />
• The National Board for Certified Counselors,<br />
• The State <strong>of</strong> Illinois Department <strong>of</strong> Financial and Pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
Regulations (for Registered Social Workers), and<br />
• The Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Certification<br />
Association.<br />

The Chicago campus at 65 East Wacker Place is housed throughout six<br />
floors <strong>of</strong> an historic <strong>of</strong>fice building overlooking the Chicago River. Facilities<br />
include classrooms, administrative and faculty <strong>of</strong>fices, assessment and<br />
observation laboratories, computer labs, the Sol and Elaine Mosak Library, and<br />
the Rudolf and Sadie “Tee” Dreikurs Psychological Services Center.<br />
The <strong>School</strong>’s near-North-Loop location is in the heart <strong>of</strong> Chicago’s best<br />
cultural, dining, and shopping attractions. Easy accessibility by car or public<br />
transportation creates an ideal setting for students commuting not only from<br />
the greater Chicago area, but from throughout the United States and Canada<br />
as well.<br />
