Inspired by <strong>the</strong> “Floating Figure“ created by <strong>the</strong> sculp<strong>to</strong>r Gas<strong>to</strong>n <strong>La</strong>chaise, Charles <strong>and</strong><br />
Ray Eames designed <strong>La</strong> Chaise in 1948 for a competition held by <strong>the</strong> Museum of Modern<br />
Art in New York.<br />
This elegant seating sculpture has long since become an icon of organic design <strong>and</strong><br />
its comfort can be tested at <strong>the</strong> VitraHaus on <strong>the</strong> Vitra Campus, Weil am Rhein, Germany.<br />

In order <strong>to</strong> enter <strong>the</strong> contest, please present your Art Basel admission ticket at <strong>the</strong> VitraHaus<br />
reception <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong>n complete <strong>the</strong> entry form, providing your email address, full name <strong>and</strong><br />
mailing address. The <strong>win</strong>ner is selected at r<strong>and</strong>om <strong>and</strong> will be announced on June 18 2012.<br />
The prize is not transferable or exchangeable <strong>and</strong> cannot be redeemed as cash.<br />
The <strong>win</strong>ner will be notified by Vitra <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> prize will be delivered <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> address provided.<br />
