Overview 

The YX Series delivers maximum performance in the most cost effective 

loudspeaker line ever offered by Yorkville Sound. Engineered in North 

America, YX Series cabinets and subwoofers benefit from Yorkville's 

five decades of PA enclosure design experience. 

YX Series cabinets use Custom ABS Waveguide injection molded horns 

with Yorkville’s tried and true dual-bulb CTL protection system to 

protect the horn driver’s aluminum diaphragm. Designed with working 

musicians in mind, the YX Series offers rugged 5/8-inch plywood cabinet 

construction, all-metal bar handles, metal input plate, integrated 

speaker mounts and a custom punched, perforated metal grille to protect 

the speaker components. 

A modified trapezoidal shape allows select cabinets in the series to 

function equally as well as a front-of-house or as monitor enclosures. 

YX Series cabinets are built road-ready with easy-to-clean, durable 

black carpet covering, solid internal plywood bracing and reinforced 

internal component mounts.

Designed for any PA application where higher power and maximum clarity 

is required, the passive 400-watt YX150 uses a single 15-inch woofer and 

2-inch horn to deliver a full 50Hz to 20kHz frequency response with 

unmatched low frequency linearity. 

Yorkville’s tried and true dual-bulb CTL protection system protects the horn 

driver’s aluminum diaphragm ensuring unmatched reliability in the field. The 

YX150 is built road-ready with easy-to-clean, durable black carpet covering, 

solid internal plywood bracing and reinforced internal component mounts. 

15-inch / 2-inch Passive 

Loudspeaker / Monitor 

Designed with working musicians in mind, the YX150 offers rugged 

5/8-inch plywood cabinet construction, all metal bar handles, metal input 

plate, integrated speaker mounts and a custom punched, perforated metal 

grille to protect the speaker components. Two Speakon and two 1/4-inch 

parallel inputs are provided ensuring maximum connectivity in virtually 

any PA application.

The YX12M delivers outstanding performance in a highly cost effective monitor package. Engineered in North America, the YX12M uses a 

single 12-inch driver and an injection molded 90º x 30º ABS Waveguide horn with 1-inch throat and 1.4-inch Celestion neodymium 

compression driver. Yorkville’s tried and true dual-bulb CTL protection system protects the horn driver’s aluminum diaphragm ensuring 

unmatched reliability in the field. The low profile YX12M is built road-ready with easy-to-clean, durable black carpet covering, solid 

internal plywood bracing and reinforced internal component mounts.

The passive YX18S uses the tried and true vented 18-inch front loaded bass reflex subwoofer design. The internal passive crossover allows 

the 400-watt YX18S to be added to any system without additional external processing. 

Solid plywood cabinet construction ensures the YX18S will remain rattle and buzz-free at the high volumes a subwoofer must endure. 

Integrated pole mount adaptor allows full range loudspeakers like the YX15 or YX15P to be raised above the crowd easily and effectively 

with a simple subwoofer stand or speaker pole.

The Active 200-watt YX15P offers the same highly effective modified 

trapezoidal shape as the passive 15-inch / 1-inch loaded YX15, making 

it ideal for front-of-house applications or for use as the ideal active 

monitor. This active loudspeaker will also function as the ideal 

‘repeater’ cabinet in more complex systems where additional cabinets 

are required to effectively distribute sound around a large room. 

XLR balanced microphone input as well as an XLR / 1/4-inch TRS 

balanced combi-jack line input on the power module means the YX15P 

can be easily connected to any source. A highly effective three-band 

EQ means the YX15P can be easily balanced for the room, ensuring 

simple system set-up. The XLR balanced line output allows multiple 

YX15P’s to be linked together quickly and easily. 

Compact 10-inch Powered 

Loudspeaker 

The most compact powered speaker in the line, the YX10P is an ideal 

solution for small PA applications where a simple playback solution is 

all that is needed. Integrated two channel mixer allows the YX10P to 

operate as a standalone PA for conferences, presentations and public 

address applications. Versatile input section allows direct connect via 

XLR, 1/4-inch and 1/8th-inch TRS to microphones, instruments and 

iPods. Modified trapezoidal shape allows the YX10P to be used as a 

powered low profile wedge monitor as well as a front-of-house cabinet 

making an extremely versatile PA solution for rental houses. 

The YX10P can be easily combined with the YX10SP powered subwoofer 

for larger PA applications where space is at a premium; yet additional 

bottom end may be required.

YX POWERED Subwoofers 

The ultra compact 200-watt YX10SP is the perfect subwoofer solution 

for small live sound or PA installations where additional low frequency 

support is needed. Designed to be the ideal companion for the YX10P 

powered full range cabinet, the YX10SP uses a high efficiency front 

mounted 10-inch woofer to deliver solid, even bass response.

YX Series cabinets, the powered YX18SP subwoofer’s integrated 

amplifier delivers 500 watts to the highly efficient 18-inch 

woofer. A compact front-loaded bass reflex design ensures 

exceptional performance in the vital 45 to 150Hz range.
