October 4, 2012 Medical Main Street Conference Improvement over x-stop & similar devices: • Softer plastic with modulus of elasticity similar to bone would be placed next to bone of adjacent spinous processes. • Harder plastic would form the interior portions of the device. • This will decrease the deterioration of the spinous processes associated with the x-stop device and other similar devices. 19
