Regatta Facts – At a Glance The regatta started back in 2001 as a smallscale competition, with just 11 participating boats. The event grew yearly, and by the third year, it had attained international status, and begun to attract participants from all over Asia Pacific, including Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia. Through the years, the regatta has grown and cemented its importance to the Asian yachting scene by being the last regatta in the Asian Yachting Grand Prix series. Regatta 2010 attracted more than 300 participants, and close to 2000 attendees from around the globe.
