INTRODUCTION<br />
<strong>PROJECT</strong> <strong>EKTA</strong> is the purchase of OSHWAL <strong>EKTA</strong> <strong>Centre</strong> at<br />
366a Stag Lane, Kingsbury, London NW9 9AA by <strong>Oshwal</strong><br />
Association of the U.K. in the North West Area.<br />
With the growth of our Association and the increase in local<br />
Area activity, it is necessary to find a property that provides a<br />
suitable platform from which the Areas can continue to - A New Dawn<br />
deliver their activities and which forms a focal point for our<br />
members and is a suitable local hub. This property joins <strong>Oshwal</strong> <strong>Centre</strong> in Potters Bar and <strong>Oshwal</strong><br />
Mahajanwadi in Croydon as a third <strong>Oshwal</strong> property in the U.K.<br />
Why <strong>EKTA</strong><br />
The strength of our Community is its’ UNITY, its’ <strong>EKTA</strong>. Project <strong>EKTA</strong> is a beacon of hope for our<br />
community as it will provide a hub where our respected elders, emerging youth and the future of<br />
our Community, our children can come together under one roof in peace, harmony and unity. It will<br />
engender the community spirit and bring a vibrancy within our Community.<br />
Progress so Far<br />
<strong>PROJECT</strong> <strong>EKTA</strong><br />
Members approved the purchase of OSHWAL <strong>EKTA</strong> <strong>Centre</strong> at a Special General Meeting on the 29 th<br />
of April 2012. Contracts were exchanged on the 18 th of May 2012 at a purchase price of £2,400,000.<br />
The completion date is the 31 st of August 2012.<br />
Funding<br />
Funding for the purchase of the Property is being raised through the following means: -<br />
- Utilisation of existing North West Area funds<br />
- Raising Donations through the <strong>EKTA</strong> <strong>Centre</strong> Takti Schemes<br />
- Raising general donations from all Members – Donations of any amount are welcome.<br />
<strong>EKTA</strong> Tree Takti Scheme<br />
There will be a painting in the centre of the <strong>EKTA</strong> tree and Taktis allocated for the parts of the tree are<br />
as follows: -<br />
‣ Trunk – £20,001 +<br />
‣ Gold leaf – £2,501 +<br />
‣ Branches – £10,001 +<br />
‣ Silver leaf – £1,501 +<br />
‣ Fruit – £5,001 +<br />
‣ Bronze leaf – £1,001 +<br />
