The exhibition INCA tells the story of the
fascinating Inca Empire, one of history’s great
civilizations, and their mystical relationship to
gold. In all, around 300 objects on loan from
15 Peruvian museums will be shown. They
will give a dazzling impression of the symbolic
force of gold, and conveys a sense of the
Incas enormous wealth. Gold treasures which
later became one of the causes of the culture’s
demise when South America was conquered
and colonized in 1532 in search of El Dorado,
the golden land.
Open every day at 10-20.
