The exhibition INCA tells the story of the<br />
fascinating Inca Empire, one of history’s great<br />
civilizations, and their mystical relationship to<br />
gold. In all, around 300 objects on loan from<br />
15 Peruvian museums will be shown. They<br />
will give a dazzling impression of the symbolic<br />
force of gold, and conveys a sense of the<br />
Incas enormous wealth. Gold treasures which<br />
later became one of the causes of the culture’s<br />
demise when South America was conquered<br />
and colonized in 1532 in search of El Dorado,<br />
the golden land.<br />
