The TFDX models have impellers with backward-curved<br />

blades and maintenance-free external rotor motors. The<br />

casing is manufactured in galvanised sheet steel, with a<br />

brass or copper inlet cone. Powder-coated version available<br />

on request. The fan has a tilting mechanism for easy<br />

inspection and servicing. Exhaust air is directed vertically<br />

from the <strong>fans</strong> which prevents problems caused by wet<br />

snow and staining of the roof.<br />

To protect the motor from overheating these <strong>fans</strong> have integral<br />

thermistors with external leads which should be connected<br />

to the TUS 230 KIL motor protection relay.<br />

Explosion proof versions comply with EN 50014 and<br />

50019. Improved safety in accordance with EEx e ll T3.<br />
