The unique Hypertac contacts provide an improvement of the PC/104 platform performances used in harsh environments and guarantee: - no contact discontinuity (down to 2ns) thanks to the immunity to shocks and vibrations, - extreme fretting corrosion resistance, - a better signal integrity and matched impedance. The Hypertac ruggedized PC/104+ meets the form factor space saving requirement, enabling PC/104 based platforms to be used in a greater range of industries and applications than previously possible. The traditional stackable design of the PC/104+ eliminates the need for backplanes or metal card cages which are found throughout the range of embedded computing devices used in military systems. Hypertac’s PC/104+ is interchangeable with other PC/104+ products and provides engineers with a high reliability interconnect solution for their applications thanks to the superior hyperboloid contact technology. It will improve the performance and reliability of all current PC/104 bus architectures in existing applications, whilst establishing a higher standard for the industry. This connector is ideal for space and aeronautics industry applications. In particular, the materials used are in conformity with the space industry’s requirement for outgassing.
