Carol's middle name, Anne, is her mother's middle name. She is awonderful and inspiring
niece. Her secondary education was in SaintLouis County. Her college education, at the
University of Missouri inColumbia, Missouri, prepared her for the high school
teachingprofession.
The United States Census reported our nation's population the year ofCarol's birth to be
about 179,245,000. U. S. President Dwight D.Eisenhower, in his annual State of the Union
message to Congress,proclaimed that 1960 promised to be the most prosperous year in

Her veterinarian husband, Bruce, established his practice in Fulton,Missouri, where Carol
settled in on a long and successful teachingcareer in the public high school there. In time,
the family acquiredtwo hundred seventy five acres of farm land and raised cattle,
amongother agricultural pursuits. They are very active in the BaptistChurch.
Bruce was ordained as a deacon and they both held leadership positionsin several areas
(e.g. Sunday School directors/teachers, StewardshipChairman, Trustee Chairman,
Personnel Committee. Chair, etc.). At onepoint Carol was considered a staff member, in
that the church paid herfor leading choruses with guitar on Sunday mornings in the
earlyservice.
