How did it all begin?

A privately owned business
In 1941 Aage Valdemar Kjær performed plumbing services and
produced compressors.
In 1970 his son, Niels Aage Kjær, took over and developed a
resilient seated gate valve for water supply.

With a single valve!

• Approx 3,000 employees

• Net turnover of DKK 2.6 billion (340 mil EUR) (financial year

more than 50% of produced rubber is used in manufacturing of AVK valves. And this
