National Youth Engagement Program
Once again the BC Chapter managed the National Youth Engagement Program (YEP) for Green Street, a
national organization that supports the delivery of accredited environmental education programs across
Canada. Under our management, YEP engaged youth in on-going stewardship initiatives through a
number of opportunities, including:
• A Youth Action Centre website in English and French;
• Internships ranging from banding birds to planning social justice camps;
• Support for summer camps;
• Monthly e-newsletter with opportunities and youth perspectives; and
• A dynamic Youth Steering Committee made up of youth from across Canada.
(These youth are given the opportunity to envision the future of youth engagement and help shape
future functions of Green Street).
