General Information
Advertising a Fair
All art and crafts fairs held in the State of Wisconsin
and open to the general public are eligible
for inclusion in this directory. In order to be
included in the directory, sponsors must submit
both an application and a listing fee to the
Wisconsin Arts Board. (Listing fees currently
range from $25 to $250 and are calculated according
to a formula provided on our website at
wwww.artsboard.wisconsin.gov)
Applications may be submitted online in the
months of September and October. To be notified
when the application is available, contact
the Wisconsin Arts Board and have your email
address added to the mailing list.
The Wisconsin Art & Craft Fairs Directory is not
a juried list, nor does it represent an Arts Board
approved list. Information included is obtained
directly from fair sponsors.
Key to Directory Codes/Terms
Most of the terms used in this directory are selfexplanatory;
a few, however, require some elaboration.
Others yet, have been assigned
numbers to conserve space within the listing.
We hope the following definitions provide all the
details you need.
Eligibility definitions for exhibitors:
Open: No restrictions on entry
Restricted: Limited to who may participate
(e.g., senior citizens, Dane
County artists, Wisconsin residents
only, etc.).
Closed: Entry process is closed to the
general public (e.g., members
only).
Juried: Participation is determined by a
review panel. A jury fee may be
required (e.g., Juried – $5). In
most cases, this is non-refundable;
call to verify.
Slides, Images of artwork and/or the
Photos, or display may be required for panel
Digital review. 3/1 slides, for example,
Images: indicates 3 slides of your artwork,
plus 1 slide of your
setup/display are requested for
you review.
Booth Size/Fee: Smallest, largest booth dimensions/lowest
highest exhibitor fees.
Acceptable work codes:
1 Fine Art
2 High quality/fine crafts
3 Jewelry
4 Country crafts
5 Handicraft items under $25
6 Painted or appliqued clothing/accessories
7 Manufactured or resale items
8 Imported art or other items
9 Photography
Awards: Total value of cash and/or purchase
awards.
